  • A nice looking race at Newbury tomorrow. Ambiente Amigo is one I’ve been really looking forward to seeing again following a very taking debut at Newcastle. Given James Owen’s form and comments I’m hoping she wins and have taken some of the early 7/2.

Miss Altea Blue has a good reputation from France and is running her first race for Nicholls tomorrow. She could be very good. Finished 1l ahead of Mamisuz De Houelle on her last start in France. The winner of that race, Layla Lux, hasn’t been out since. If she’s fit, the 9/4 looks good value too.

I think the top two in the market will go much shorter. I could see them both going off shorter than 2/1. It’s quite a deep field but I’d hope the others are at least 10lb shy of the two market principles.

If the winner does it well, they could be an outsider for the Triumph.

Came on to mention this race. Will be interesting if Nicholls is a fully looking to win it with Miss Altea Blue or just reduce the mark for the Boodles. 66.5 in France so 133 over here. She's kind of in the middle zone where her mark is maybe too high for the Boodles but probably won't be good enough to trouble the Triumph contenders and would she be better waiting a year for a Mares Novice campaign.

Missed this which is a shame. But took the 7/2 and pleased to see her backed into a nearly even money fav this morning.

The 125/1 WTAF with Hills might be worth a go to get a potential outsider onboard.

Yep, I’ve had a small wager on the 125/1
They seem hell bent on getting a Triumph winner !!
I decided to back all his till they win the race.
            Whenever that may be!!

                Fantastic.

It's an incredibly poor looking field though

B365 left it up, may still be up for anyone wanting out, at a profit

Yes, by some sort of miracle (these days at least) Bet365 did leave it up with profit Lovely!

Didn't see the race but the only info I saw was that he apparently got a shocking ride, and was beaten by a horse that he's convincingly beat already?

Ive also seen it mentioned a few times that the stables runners are running below par lately, possibly premature to write off?

He's usually ridden 'cold' which was the same today, maybe a little far back, but he just didn't pick up or travel through like he has done.

Yard under a cloud for sure.
