Yes mate, we know you are ignoring them runs.
    You have to.
I hope he gives you the chance to see if you are right to ignore them.
He has a lot more on his plate at the festival this time though.

I'm not against GW, in fact he's still my preferred winner, but I'll be surprised if PT picks him.

I agree about his Leopardstown form/runs.

Willie thinking we can ignore them as well as per last year. Nothing between Energumene and Gaelic on exchanges so Paul's decision is definitely not a forgone conclusion. My £100 @ 25/1 looking ok.

          Is he?
          Ok then.
I suppose you would hope the owner ignores as well.

I wouldn’t expect much between them on exchanges.

Your £100 would be looking OK if you’d actually paid for the bet.
            Offer still there….

                  very good.

Find me a bookie offering those odds and I'd jump on them.

He'd be picking State Man for sentimental reasons, IMO, less so Energumene, as I think his performance behind Jonbon is better than what Gaelic Warrior has produced this season. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up behind one of the other Mullins runners on both State Man & Energumene in their respective races though.

We know he loves State Man, he's already admitted he's his favourite horse, he'll be on board him, for sure.

I remember when Ruby picked Getabird over Sharjah in the Supreme, both were dreadful in the end but Getabird was well behind Sharjah that day, this was sentimental, but proves they (jockeys) can and will get it wrong!
I think Paul Townend gets these close decisions right far more often than Ruby did

                    Ruby's said as much recently

He's going with his head, you just think he's not going with it ... but he knows more than you (any of us)

In a match I'd back Energumene over Gaelic Warrior over 2m at Cheltenham Enegumene's defeat to Jonbon is better than Gaelic Warrior's form this season

Doesn't mean I don't think Gaelic Warrior may be better of the two in the match, but Gaelic Warrior has a lot of love when really he's a fucking hound ...

Maybe I jst don't like him though .... twice beaten at the festival, then wins off the back of being ante post fav for the Stayers Hurdle, off a shite run, in the Arkle

Horrible little horse.... I actually have talked myself into thinking he's the horse I like the least in training

Walloped by Fact To File in a 2 horse race as well ..... pathetic little thing

                    Who the fuck is Brazil!

It seems to me that many just think he's a handicapper who has got lucky getting away from them on the front end, but need I remind you of a certain Flooring Porter, who was rated 105 at one point, before adopting front running tactics, and it took him all the way to winning two Stayers Hurdles.

I do think the change of tactics for Solness has made him a different, that and better ground, which almost looks a certainty currently.

He's beat Marine Nationale & Gaelic Warrior twice this season already, yet finds himself bigger in price still.
I think you’re spot on. Been on Solness for a while. Said on here a few weeks back 10s was a cracking bet at the time. He’s going to have plenty of them in behind bang at it coming down the hill and put their jumping under pressure. He reminds me a bit of Put The Kettle on. I really like him.

Ive plenty on Gaelic from before and after his Arkle last year (still single handedly my favourite moment on a racecourse ever) but he needs rain and he won’t be getting it. I’d love to see him knock the haters again but it’s not likely to me.

Jonbon is beatable. And solness will have him in trouble unless he has a faultless jumping round.

And more Gaelic slander and me and you will be having a falling out Kevla.

If you read this thread back and others, you’ll not find many haters, Kev is an exception imo

                          Jonbon on the other hand…

                            Absolutely agree re Solness
He could certainly get these in trouble and yes Jonbon and the rest will need to jump well.

I am exceptional, is how I'm going to take that

Middle_Of_March haha, I might check what I ended up on him for last year and maybe reassess

                              • I think Solness will get found out personally, his "Busy" season could also be a factor. At least Jonbon and Marine Nationale will beat him, MN is improving each race, and Jonbon is the best horse in the race. Can easily see him finishing down the pecking order. I see a few have crapped on Jonbons Chelt form, Jonbon and MN form reads better than Solness. It's funny how sometimes we use stats/trends what our eyes (pockets) want to see, I'm guilty of it too, most of us are, but yeah Solness not far me, competition will be ready for this!
