"It looked like he was going to pull up down the back straight. There might be an explanation for that later on, so we'll see. I had a hood on him today, but maybe he doesn't need it anymore."
Racing post had this to say:
"vet reported gelding to have a small skin wound over lateral sesamoid left fore but to be otherwise post race normal"
I wouldn't be looking to back him now, but he didn't run his race today - even compared to Xmas - with the way he dropped back on the back straight. Next run will tell me more - everyone knows I think he should have been in the Ryanair but even that looks wrong now as he wouldn't beat fact to file!

In a Racing TV interview they (Mullins quoting Townend) said the ground was riding fast and he was taken off his feet as a horse who needs soft ground.
Looks another where the ground could determine which race they go.
Starting to look the Irish challenge will be lead by Solness.
Unless it’s heavy ground.
Hoping IEF turns up here for the French.
Need some competition for Jonbon.

Solness and Il Est Francais would be great for the race, and potentially set it up for a monster performance from Jonbon

If it's Soft or worse both Gaelic and IEF will be going CC. Spring ground and we'll see those two in the Ryanair.

Cheers - doesn't really matter now though imo.
Been in his corner all year but he won't win the Ryanair if Fact To File is there and despite me spending all year thinking a front runner would give him the perfect lead, apparently he doesn't want the pace too fast either!
Maybe Rooster Booster was right all along..... (except for on extreme heavy going)
Is F2F that a certainty for the Ryanair? He didn't beat Spillanes Tower by much and he seems to be unfancied on here.
I'd say not a certainty, but one of the leading players, should he turn up for the race.
Nothing wrong with Spillanes Tower except Jimmy Mangan said he didn't think he travelled well over to Kempton for the King George.
Not ideal for a horse not to be a good traveller when coming over to Cheltenham, albeit they could come over a fair bit earlier to give him time to settle.
