Yeah, Josh confirmed he was on track for the DRF. And I’d heard likewise from elsewhere.
However, Ruby’s comments on the PP podcast today seem to suggest otherwise. If Ruby can be believed, you’d have him odds against to turn up at the DRF. Ruby also suggested he’d not be keen to step him up in trip if it was straight to the festival.

I'll be leaving him well alone. Even if he had an uninterrupted season I don't think I'd back him based on his jumping last season.

He'll be a fair price on the day for the Ryanair (assuming he's beaten on the way) and as for a 'cover bet' .... TWAF for the QMCC, just let him win at the DRF and he'd still be 2nd fav behind Jonbon

If it comes up good on Gold Cup day - good luck predicting the Gold Cup ground on the day you need to declare for the Champion Chase. And the trainers want paying for us to listen to them...
You won't know the Ryanair field until those decs as I doubt they'll make it public what Fact to File will do, so that's too late for CC.
Just send him to the CC where the 2 milers won't know what's hit them.
