    Posh Josh apparently spoke to Anthony Bromley also this week, an RTV special coming out this week on it

      However, Ruby’s comments on the PP podcast today seem to suggest otherwise. If Ruby can be believed, you’d have him odds against to turn up at the DRF. Ruby also suggested he’d not be keen to step him up in trip if it was straight to the festival.
      As my sergeant major used to say.....'About Turn'!!!

      I'll be leaving him well alone. Even if he had an uninterrupted season I don't think I'd back him based on his jumping last season.

        • I don't see any reason whatsoever to back El Fabiolo ante post for anything

          He'll be a fair price on the day for the Ryanair (assuming he's beaten on the way) and as for a 'cover bet' .... TWAF for the QMCC, just let him win at the DRF and he'd still be 2nd fav behind Jonbon

          Risk isn't worth taking on a horse out so long without it being by design

          He's not doing a Quevega with El Fabiolo .... he's far, far, far too short on the back of his prep

          • Spot on with that Kev. Leave El Fabiola well alone.

            • ….IEF;

              He’s absolutely flying and it’s the best he has come out of a race in a long time, he’s got a lot of confidence out of that Kempton run and everything was perfect afterwards,” said George, who trains Il Est Francais alongside Amanda Zetterholm.

              “I think we have just got to watch Dublin at the weekend to work out where we’re going to run and obviously the ground at the Festival will play a part as well, but the horse is in great form.

              “We are very much considering the Champion Chase, but we just need to see what is going on with the Ryanair field – and then if it came up good ground on Gold Cup day, you would also have to consider that and what opposition was turning up.

              “There’s a lot of factors to be discussed and considered, but the horse is in fine form and that’s the main thing.”

              He added: “It’s the dream to have big winners in England as well as France and we’re trying to put French racing on the map. There’s some exciting French-trained horses coming to the Festival, not just with us, but others as well, so it’s an exciting time.”

                  If it comes up good on Gold Cup day - good luck predicting the Gold Cup ground on the day you need to declare for the Champion Chase. And the trainers want paying for us to listen to them...

                  You won't know the Ryanair field until those decs as I doubt they'll make it public what Fact to File will do, so that's too late for CC.

                  Just send him to the CC where the 2 milers won't know what's hit them.

                    If a specialist 2 miler can’t keep up with a King George winner I would be surprised!!
