I have no doubts that both their chances will be a lot greater on Soft ground.

    • I suppose one could look at respective ratings for different ground? If that’s your thing.
eg GW on good to soft as opposed to soft or heavy.

Don't need to Carnage. He just is better on deeper ground.

They might not need it as soft, although Jonbon best jumping performance last time at Cheltenham, he performs a few lbs below his best there imo.

Early days and a small sample size, but is JJ Slevin getting a little more out of the horses than Daryl did?

                • Don’t think there were many horses trying to get close to Matata there surely? Can’t have that being a 170 performance myself

                  • if you like IEF for this you now have company out in front with Matata heading here, could cut each others throats if they both get racing early.

He’s likely going 2 1/2 miler at aintree as his number one target

                      • Matata threw his hat into the ring for Queen Mother Champion Chase honours after running riot over his rivals in the Fitzdares Great Park Handicap Chase.

                        • JJ sounded desperate to have a ride in the race so maybe he'll persuade them.

JJ is doing very well thus far in his new role, long may it continue.
