Bit of value ?
That said he has namechecked the Mares Chase for a couple of other horses so who knows, a case of having too much talent in the yard....

I say a lot, probably just a little bit as obviously different jockeys - Walsh and Posh Boy

I bet he was gutted he didn't send her to the CC this season as she would have bolted up. Hindsight eh ??Last edited by Lobos; 28 November 2024, 07:14 PM.

“He missed a little bit of time, but he’s back on the go now. He will go for the Grade 1 over two miles at Leopardstown’s Christmas meeting and then go to the Dublin Racing Festival. The Clarence House would be an option, but just an option. The Champion Chase is his long-term target.“

Was thinking GW for a race at Xmas and then DRF before CC. Good news that.
Thanks Eggs

Willie was all over the place talking about Dinoblue. Said she finished 2nd in the Champion chase this year, and said she would go to Opera Hat in Naas and onto DRF.. he is trying to get horses to travel back in time as Opera hat is week after DRF.
Can't go Hilly way and 2 month break to DRF or Opera Hat IMO.
You would be disappointed if she didnt win the Opera hat going on last years renewal but she finished 1st and 2nd in leopardstown so she has good form there. Logic for me would be to run with Gaelic warrior at christmas to pick up the pieces if he does an el fabiolo Champion chase job on it and then to Opera Hat and then mares chase. 2 winnable races and 1 season opener with similar breaks between races.
Willie left a cheltenham winner behind with her last year. She would have won the champion chase with the way it unfolded and if he went the route last year he is talking about this year she wouldn't have had the 5 pound penalty from her win at Leopardstown in the grade 1 at Xmas so would have beat limerick lace.
