IET is def. planned for now

GW i think we'll find out a week before haha think its connections wanna go rather than WP , imagine it'll come down to what Energumene is doing and if El Fab is back in action... I would guess if hes the #1 QM horse at that point you wouldn't.

2024 Clarence House - 2nd to Elixir de Nutz
      2023 Shloer - 1st beating Edwardstone
      2023 Arkle - 2nd to El Fabiolo
      2022 Supreme - 2nd to Constitution Hill

Could be that Cheltenham just isn’t his favourite track?
Yeah it’s been mentioned before and I have been in discussions about it and think there’s a case to be made
Although 2nd to CH is no shame and 2nd to EF ain’t that bad either.
The 2nd to EDN was just an horrendous error, which can happen, still nearly won though.

        I agree to be fair.

I think other tracks are better suited for him but at the same time he still performs to a very high level at Cheltenham imo. As you say the occasional mistake can happen to anyone, cough cough, El Fab at odds on comes to mind

Was El Fabiola not coming back from his CC mishap? Think his confidence was shot and potentially carrying injury seeing as we won't see him until next year. It wasn't the same EF that brushed Jonbon aside in the CC of 23.

If true then he'll not be throwing any other of his big guns in as well. IET is plenty good enough to go close.

Definitely. He's ran some super races there but he's a few pounds better off elsewhere. The CC looks like it could be much hotter than in recent years so it'll be even harder for him to get that elusive festival win imo.

Horses can have all sorts of reasons for defeat
Jonbon may not have been at his best behind EF in the Arkle, for whatever reason, just like EF behind J at Sandown.
                  Cant have it both ways.
End of the day J has both won and lost against the best of the Irish.

I know mate, that’s what I want at Sandown. Think it’s the best course for both horses to show their best.
I suspect though it will have to be March before we see it and imo despite both winning on the course, I don’t think Cheltenham is their best course to show their best.

I think the news re IET potentially being Willies KG horse makes it a distinct possibility that Gaelic will travel over to Sandown. Fingers crossed!

Makes sense as he's a forward type having won first time up in November the last two seasons.

That’s Danny’s ride booked, wonder will Paul want a ride & the Riccis want a chance at retribution for Vautour’s near miss to Cue Card. I know I would if I had a horse like GW.
