Think she'll be ridden to place whereas State Man will be ridden to win and will blow up.
      Currently 7/2 with Boyles
      Just typical
Backed the winner and got a 7/2 return

      • People giving out about Lossiemouth are being very fickle. It is a freak result. State Man looked as good as ever and perhaps Constitution Hill was better again. Jumping is the name of the game but Lossiemouth might have finished a good 3rd there if that race is played out again.

Certainly the takeaway from it, at Christmas the others are out the picture when SM falls and she would have had time to gather herself and still trot to victory

          • Some race wasn't it? Glad both horses are okay. If ever there was proof that you need to be in it to win it, that was it!

Yes I feel the point i raised awhile a go about her siblings not being very good round Cheltenham looks quite poignant now

she will likely still be good enough for the mares chase if they go that way though

Felt like the buveur dair, apples jade and laurina year where they all either fell or flopped and the other JP horse picked up the pieces

Feel a bit sorry for state man especially as he's had a poor season and was going to win on the snaff

Fickle how? You've got to be in it to win it and as Jeremy Scott said on TV just then - who dares wins.

Absolutely but she could easily have got beat by the top 2 or 3 and people would be equally as fickle and say she should have been in the Mares. The rumours State Man was better at home looks to be true. Bar a freak last hurdle blip, Willie Mullins, Townend and co are geniuses for realising State Man was the better shout here.

Exactly. Pure dross written here about what Lossiemouth should and shouldn’t have done.

Lossiemouth could easily have done exactly what both Con Hill or State Man did, or could have tired at a 2 mile end to end pace and been the ‘Brighterdaysahead’ exhibit.

She could have been any of those examples today, and we’ll never, not ever, know.

                        • The possibility of a freak result is why you should go for the better race

Golden aces connection rolled the dice and now have the champion hurdler

Lossiemouths connections do not because they played it safe in a race the trainer would've won anyway

What 2 mile end to end pace was that? KOK was around 2s slower than Kopek from the 1st furlongs pole to the 8th. They didn't go quick in the Champion.

                            • Mullins and townend were right but ultimately they did not have a back up in the champion. Her run today showed she was in great form but state man looked better than ever so credit where it’s due.

Turned out that just another runner won.
Fucking massive kudos to the team behind golden ace. Fuck the rest.
they will never forget today and that’s why you take your chances

                              • I wonder what might’ve happened had Absurde or Kitzbuhel run as a genuine no.2. Or Impaire et Passé stayed over hurdles. It does seem odd that there was no thought to sending a genuine no.2 from such a strong stable.
