People giving out about Lossiemouth are being very fickle. It is a freak result. State Man looked as good as ever and perhaps Constitution Hill was better again. Jumping is the name of the game but Lossiemouth might have finished a good 3rd there if that race is played out again.Comment

Mullins and townend were right but ultimately they did not have a back up in the champion. Her run today showed she was in great form but state man looked better than ever so credit where it’s due.
Turned out that just another runner won.

I wonder what might’ve happened had Absurde or Kitzbuhel run as a genuine no.2. Or Impaire et Passé stayed over hurdles. It does seem odd that there was no thought to sending a genuine no.2 from such a strong stable.Comment
