Ground conditions on first day will have a big say.
I'm silly really as Lossiemouth is a massive winner for me but I do want to see BDA in the Churdle as well. About time the race was a proper Championship race.

I backed C Hill with Ladbrokes when 11-2 was around, and put in doubles with Gino, Gaelic, Galopin and Teahupoo.
So the less take him on the better.
But also got BDA at 25's
Anzadam 55's
Lossie 9-2
Going to put more on Lossie I think.
Just rather see a deep race.

Yeah, me too.
A Champion Hurdle is meant to be just that.
For me, if she turns up, I can see her blowing them away. She just looks a different horse this season. Really grown into herself.
Despite Willie saying Aintree for Anzadam, I do wonder, should State Man underperform again, would he send Anzadam to the Champion Hurdle still?
Surely the Donnelly's would want a runner, and it seems pointless sending State Man. He could have some time off, recover and come back fresh either later in the season or even the next, if need be.
Would have to think the performs of State Man will have a big bearing on Anzadam CH future. I forgave State Man his first outing, but the last race was so terrible and nothing seems to have come out about that performance. Every chance it’s something more than just an off day? If it’s another woeful effort you would think Donnelleys/Mullins would have to give it a whirl with Anzadam. As always DRF is going to have a massive bearing on how the pieces all come together.
The Donnellys leave it up to their trainers is my read on them, if Mullins wants to run Anzadam they'd not stand in his way, also I don't see them telling him the horse should run whether SM turns up in March or not, think they're happy to trust the people they pay to train them to do whats right for the horses.
Just to add, regarding Anzadam really, and it's probably been covered on here somewhere this season, but I was surprised to learn that Willie has run three 5 year olds in the past 4 renewals of the race, bearing in mind he only had one from the previous 6 renewals before that. Times are changing, it would seem.

Yeah, seeing people talk about Lulamba and Salvator Mundi as if the Donnolly's make the decisions are way off IMO
If State Man under performs, does he go County? With the other one ..... I've seen the black cap before
No runner is fine in the CH for them, not like they're getting out of the game.... trusting Willie to 'do what's right' for the young horse is IMO quite clearly how it'll play out

Interesting perspective. If Lulamba is as good as many on here believe he is then SM or any other will need to be approaching 160 to beat him and from what I’ve seen that would be a huge stretch for any of them. EID is 142 and most seem to think Lulamba has his measure so as they say in the Dacia ad …you do the maths…if ever there was a year for this to happen I’d say it’s this year. Still won’t though

If State Man underperforms again then I reckon Anzadam would be a certainty to run in the Churdle.
Has there been any indication that suggests this is the route they'll take ?
Would love to be enlightened but I've seen/heard nothing....
No. We'll know soon though. I'm hoping Lossiemouth gives SM a thumping which will force their hand. Failing that, they can always run Sir Gino in the race.

Some leap that
State Man gets beaten
So the owners tell Nicky Henderson he has to put Sir Gino against Constitution Hill
Leaving Willie to win the Arkle as he likes
