You can't be having Fact To File head to a Ryanair if he's beat for a second time by the two time Gold Cup winner but will happily suggest Lossiemouth to return to the Mares Hurdle having pissed up in the race last season, if she's beat by Constitution Hill.

In a roundabout way it feels very contradictory
Haha well tbf I have said all year I think Lossie is going Mares, even when she won last year, I've just not been on here to say it

But that is different.... defending her crown is better than ducking a Gold Cup for 1 horse?

If she ducks Con Hill, to retain her crown, that's not as bad, is it? (still bad, and you're right, if it was me I wouldn't)

We all know lossie was never going the Champ Hurdle..... BDA is the reason they've not committed yet haha

What about if she heads to the DRF and beats State Man, and proves she's the best of Willie's 2 milers?

I get the feeling they'd like another crack at Constitution Hill at some point (pretty sure Patrick has said as much) and I think they may do that at the festival.

                • Constitution Hill down as had another wind op since his last start on the RP, surprised no one has asked Nicky about it, given they ask about everything else.

ATR has it as 2nd run since wind op.

                      • Maybe that's the reason they are running him again , to test his wind? If he still showed signs of breathing issues then they'd have time to give him another op before the Festival.

                        • So W2 means 2nd run since wind op ?
                          Understood.

They said after Xmas that they would see how he is and if he is telling them he wants another run that’s what they will do.
Thats the reason he’s running again.

Yeah think they now show it for the first and 2nd run (possibly the 3rd run as well). I don't think they tell you if there's been multiple ops on a horse though.

Didn't they say he'd go straight there at one point though ?

Doubt Saturday will tell us anything other than he's still alive though.
