Yeah, really odd comparison. If we look back, Sir Gino won the Triumph Trial in 4m 13s on good to soft whilst Lossiemouth won the Triumph in 4m 6s on soft over the same c/d and the equivalent of 2 months apart. Whatever suits your argument...

    • I thought I'd go and watch before weighing in because at face value it looks fucking daft.
But having watched it he mentions that she's never run a 2 mile race as fast as Sir Gino did Saturday, and then goes on for ages about why he rates Sir Gino, even given the relatively poor horses in behind.

He also goes on to downgrade (a little) what Lossie did to better horses on account of the timings between other races that day and ones the day before, which are also pretty sketchy IMO.
RPR's reflect that the race was slowly run, although I think they've been overly cautious with the RPR's myself having given Teahupoo high 160;s the two previous years, both later found to be probably high based on who he battled it out with's subsequent efforts. No battle Sunday whatsoever.

So it was a needless pointless brief mention rather than a direct comparison. IMO.

      I'll let you off Darryl.

IEP also matched last for the arkle at 30-1 so anyone liking that bet could hang something out
highest price he's been matched at.

At this moment I think its definitely a possible, one of the key parts in my thinking is listening to Paul after the race

Gary - trip wise, do you think thats a good fit for him at the moment that trip?

Paul - Ermmmmm yeah I'd have no problem the way he jumped early to come back if you wanted to, as a novice anyway, no I think he opened a lot of doors today.

Lots of moving parts though this early in the season!

                      • The move for Anzadam is relentless......into 14's with PP. Some 20's still hanging around.

Momentum also gathering pace again re Constitution Hill.

                          Blimey!!
I did have a bit on 33,just in case, as he did look impressive, but would not touch 14.
No idea how good he will be come March, but good to see some different ones emerging.

Fingers crossed for C Hill !!!

                          • Donnelly doesn’t need THREE champion hurdle contenders does he?!

Wonder if we’ll see a late switch from Gino. Wouldn’t be the biggest shock would it.

Yep, was thinking the same but he's now rated virtually on a par with Sir Gino and punters are happy to take the much lower odds on him so I can sort of understand it.

Apart from missing the Festival there's not any other race for them so if they are all fit and well then maybe they will all turn up. It's a good team to have though in case one gets injured.
