  • Phew….
yeah, she had everything going for her today in terms of field size and ground, was still nervous going into it given how the two Mullins short priced favs were taken down

Will have to rewatch the race again, but other than the one blip as they weee turning the pace up, thought that was a positive performance

    • Thought that was a superb performance bar the mistake 3 out. As you say Q they tried to go hard but she just stalked Teahupoo all the way.

Shes definitely all class. Big fav for me now if Constitution Hill doesn’t make it back.

          Class every time for me.
Won easy enough even after a pretty bad mistake 3rd last.
She'd have done the same on soft before anyone starts.
Yeah I think you are right, but it is a fact that Teahupoo likes soft ground, so there’s probably room for some debate.
Nowt learnt in terms of the Champion Hurdle.

          • It looked to me the Elliot runners went no pace and tried to outsprint rather than run a race to outstay Lossiemouth which was a stupid decision on good ground. There was no way she was getting beaten after watching the first few furlongs,

Yeah it was a joke tactically from the 3 Elliot runners. As soon as I saw what was happening over the first few hurdles it was basically all over.

Yeah, imo they knew they could not beat her on that ground
Shes quick and stays 2 and a half anyway.

                • She has such a high cruising speed IMO they were never going to be able to get her out of her comfort zone.
And she can quicken off that also.
Different class horse and the softer the ground would probably have even helped her win more easier. IMO.
Although I acknowledge Teahupoo is better on soft, I just think she has shown she is just as effective anyhow, and likely to settle better on it.

                    She wanted to go quicker.
2m at Cheltenham will be ideal for her imo
Will we she meet a serious rival before March?

PT saying there she’s useful at that distance today when asked about 2m !!
Do we read anything into that?
Would be a right pisser if she went Mares.

It's because he wants to ride both State Man and her so would want them split.

Be a surprise if he does that but the ricci's might be up for it.
The international will not be as favourable as last year with the allowances as he mentioned so that looks more suitable for Kargese and Anzadam to consider.
So I think willie is trying to avoid the obvious and that Lossie should go the Irish Champion in Dublin, state man or not.
If he thinks xmas is too soon and shes not entered/declared for kempton, it may depend on state man at xmas and how he fares and feels under Townend.

Also mentioned Leopard, Ascot and Cheltenham for Lossiemouth
Selfishly I hope she goes to Ascot, I would be there for that.

                            • Lossiemouth my beauty didn't let me down. She is just so professional now. Can't fault her today. She did it so easy beating a very good horse. More to come as well which must be a scary thought for everything else.

Well she beat a 3 miler who didn’t have his ground.
But yes, she did it well.
Did not see anything to scare proper good 2 milers though.
