I got the impression he bloody hates it

Interesting he also felt BDA should go Mares but thinks she will go CH and that they'll avoid all the big guns leading up to the race and just prep in an easy one.

      • Does Lossiemouth beat Teahupoo ?? this weekend ?

        Fucking too right she does.

Hopefully she stays the right side of the betting (outsider of the 2) and I can put the money on from last weekend.

anyone stupid enough to think Teahupoo wins ?

          • I don’t think that there will be more than a length between them.

I don't think any of the runners can go fast enough to get her out of second gear and make it a stamina test.
So expect that she'll win comfortable enough.
Unless Teahupoo makes the running. And even then he'd have to get the fractions bang on.
Hopefully they all get declared and we get to see a good race.

If Teahupoo gets beat he should go out in the market for the stayers whilst still being easily the best horse in the field (At this point) so could be 'win win'

depends on the manner (if he does get beat) - but i wouldn't expect a huge drift as connections of Lossie will no doubt talk her up for the champion if she beats him. Him losing to Lossie should not really affect his odds of retaining the stayers, although he's short enough for now, so a small amount upwards wouldn't hurt anyone.

Don’t even know how fit they are, so I ain’t answering the question with any confidence
Just going to watch with interest.
Doubt prices will change much whoever wins.

We never know how fit they are though do we ?
Even if they've had a run.
What if I told you i'd heard they were both 100% fit ?
                      Who'd win then ?

                      • I’m with Lossiemouth agree with what you’ve said, don’t think they’ll be able to go hard enough to test her stamina. Actually done a sort of muggy double with Sir Gino antepost so managed to get 4/1. Don’t think mystical power is all that over 2m so expecting a decent performance from Sir Gino down in Newcastle.

Well in that case I would go for Lossiemouth.
They both will be fine at the distance, but personally I prefer the improver and quicker horse which imo she is.

                          • Just looking at ratings, their ain’t much between them.
So improvement is the key thing as well as fitness for Lossiemouth imo.
Last couple of seasons Teahupoo has been fit enough to win this race.

It will boil down to tactics and getting the rides right. In a small field I wouldn't want to banking on it going to plan for any of them.

I think Teahupoo has to try and get Lossiemouth out her comfort zone, whether he can or not is another thing.

I think that is exactly what will happen. He will go a strong gallop, if she is still there at the last with him it could be a hell of a finish. If i put my neck on the line i would say she will be a staying on 2nd, closing all the way to the line but not getting past.
