In that scenario SG might well be the owners main chance
Plus Hendo may have the final say as trainers tend to have, and no CH may well see SG in the CHurdle anyway.

Looking at current prices for the Arkle and CH i don’t think I would be tempted to back SG in either right now!!
Oh yeah, no need to rush any decision as there's plenty of scenarios that could play out before march and even if SG does go novice chasing he could always do a buveur d'air. I don't know how much the donnelly's get involved in decision making or whether they leave it to the trainers to decide, i just hope con hill makes it there fit and well and makes the decision easier !

    • The Magic Sign are now going 5/1 CH and 3/1 Sir Gino for the Champ Hurdle

Worth watching the exchanges as CH may trot out of his box tomorrow fine!

and if CH really wasnt himself (unfit or otherwise) in his recent gallop, then does that make Sir Gino look better than maybe he is and the 3/1 the worst value ever ?

I certainly wouldn't be rushing out to back sir gino for either race at those prices at the moment, he could be a superstar but i personally wouldn't be deciding that after his gallop with con hill, bloody awful value that !

            • Con Hill being pushed out across the board. He is going to smash my multi's apart again isn't he

              • If Golden Ace puts in a top performance tomorrow she too could be aimed at the Champion Hurdle imo. The Mares Hurdle is the race to pick out some value .

The only saving grace i have if it goes pear shaped is that i have Sir Gino at 14/1 for the C Hurdle and not a penny on the Arkle. He becomes the new fav for me and will use him in the same multi's if the worst happens

Nevermind Lossie what about his owners current Champion Hurdler? He might have something to say about it as well.

I know. Can't warm to him. He is a beatable horse and the bookies fancy Lossie turning him over in March. He is getting older, not really lightly raced and the time he came up against a good one at Cheltenham he got thrashed and he didn't wow me last year against Irish Point and Luccia.

All that being said i have him rolled up for the CH

If Con Hill doesn't end up there, i would love to see it though with Brighterdaysahead too................. who would finish a valiant 4th................ because i haven't backed her for anything yet and wouldn't need to

                              • Everyone seems to be ignoring BDA tomorrow , including me. She could throw a mahoosive spanner in there having had a run already. Imagine the carnage on here...
