I would agree with EE that I would be happy with today as a stepping stone towards the Ch Hdle but cannot be happy that he is a good place for Newcastle. I took the decision to go in again at 3/1 but would not back him for a race in 10 days time.

Clearly there must have been some onlookers actually at Newbury who know what to look for in these course workouts and then pass on the info to bookmakers. For his price to have drifted that much for both the FF and CH, he must have looked way behind what was expected at this stage of his training programme despite what Nicky says. Either that or the bookies have played a blinder in balancing their books early by tricking punters into backing Lossiemouth, State Man, Ballyburn and Mystical Power. Which one is it???

Too many unknowns with his fitness, how fit he needs to be for a FF, and how crucial the work on the weekend is.
Basically we are guessing and when it comes to wagers it’s just too risky imo looking at current odds for horses that are likely winners of the CHurdle
