The way Ruby and Patrick were talking on the PP preview, it sounded like Lossie would be kept away from State Man and Con Hill until the festival.
Or maybe they do want to showcase Lossiemouth talents early to put some doubt into Nicky's mind ? I too thought he'll Keep them apart but listening to that video I'm not so sure now. State Man has been there and done it so to be beat by Lossiemouth isn't the end of the world and CH has already beaten him. Lossiemouth is the unknown now.

      Couple of unknowns for me
The amount of improvement from Lossie and how much ability does CH have after last season.
      Makes it all very intriguing.
We can all have our opinions and desires, but waiting for the horses to tell us is where we are now.

0 chance of that, Willie just off the cuff. Likely Hattons then England, I dont even think they plan to clash them at DRF now. Give her every chance to mature and grow futher before they ask he to go at those boys in Cheltenham.

            Love this!

All systems go for the Champion Hurdle.

More than happy with that. Always thought HG would be a good starting point. Putting Teahupoo in his place will show just how good she is and will make him a more backable price for the Stayers. Win/Win.

Yeh should be a good match up, hopefully she'll have an edge as Teahupoo only came back in around mid-october from Powers yard.

                  • Gordy throwing Champion Hurdle grenades a couple of times with respect to Brighterdaysahead. The look in his eyes suggested to me it could happen, but I expect she'd have to win at DRF/Xmas against the big boys/girl first.

One of the interesting things about it is - if she can't jump fences, but she can win a Champion Hurdle, why would you go over fences? Almost feels like a way of saving face

                    • She can't jump well enough to compete in the Champion Hurdle. She'd be using up so much energy after each hurdle to keep up with Constitution Hill and State Man. No chance they go here unless she makes massive strides in her hurdling.

And that is exactly why you can ignore Gordon, for the time being, at least

Completely agree. I was slightly disappointed with the performance in all honestly. I feel people are getting carried away by it. She's beat KOK 2 lengths and DLL who hit every single hurdle. Hardly champion hurdle form.

                            • She’s ran to about 150 I reckon
if handicapper’s generous maybe a bit more.
but a decent start to season.

Depends how rate DDL I guess ….maybe a tad higher, but need to run best part of a stone better for a CH

They could go Mares this season ‘& then CH if continued to
                                improve…..but like many I think more a 2.5m horse
