Not sure Willie has ruled it out in his mind yet ….and now only 2 novice chases at festival

Love to see him go for it and Lossie ….what a division then

        Who knows with Mullins??
Would be nice if a good nov Hurdler stayed hurdling though, don’t seem to be the trend much these days.

        • It was after all what Willie said directly after winning Ballymore, that it was a Champion Hurdle performance.

          • Again though , it all depends on CHill.
No way will they have three horses getting beat, two of which right now would have serious winning chances in other races.

Think it will be impossible to guage how good CH is though having two walkovers. Willie will be more than happy to load up on his Champion Hurdle contenders. He has multiple horses to take in all the other races especially after losing both the Turners and NHC and the Handicap hurdles being harder to place his horses in. We'll see. Let it all unfold.

              • If CH is visually impressive in his first two races, then imo we will not see more than 1 Mullins horse in the CHurdle…..unfortunately

I should rephrase that actually cos he may enter some for prize money, but he won’t want Lossie or Bally getting beat when they can win other races.
Just my view having listened to Mullins talking about CHill over last couple of years.
                Hopefully I am proved wrong.

                • We'll see at least 2 ,State Man and Lossiemouth. Like you say he could add another 1 or 2 to pick up the additional prize money. He won't run from CH...not one bit. In fact, sounds like he's gunning for him. Can't wait.

Well we obviously have different ways of looking at it

Yes, think we (and Willie) might do

Indeed. That's what it's all about Carnage. Love it.

                          • Willie will run his champion hurdle contenders in the champion hurdle. Lossiemouth may perhaps run in mares, but the rest will all turn up regardless. Go in mobhanded

                            • Just watched Willies SL video and sounds like the plan is to run both State Man and Lossiemouth in the Morgianna. He said Lossiemouth will be a big player in the CH this season. Huge decision for PT who to ride if they meet that early. Makes the hairs stand up.

Surely that’s a classic Willie-ism. If they meet there, and State Man wins, that’s Con Hill resting a lot easier back in Blighty. I just can’t see Lossie running. The way Ruby and Patrick were talking on the PP preview, it sounded like Lossie would be kept away from State Man and Con Hill until the festival.
