Maybe he is a little better than just a stayer,in the right conditions, but he’s certainly not a 2 miler!!
He should probably have two Staying Hurdles under his belt.
And imo will win it again .

At least we agree there. Yes, he'll win again.

I worry that it’s a year too soon for him however and if connections feel that to be the case they may pull stumps sooner rather than later. Having your two best horses beaten by the same horse would be pretty hard to swallow for any owner. We shall see. Hendo knows the time of day with these top 2 mile hurdlers and he will have a good idea whether it’s worth persevering or not.
        Yep, that’s fair comments
I just hope the same, we get a classic to savour.

Im not sure we disagree that much with Lossie to be honest.
Think we both realise that she’s very good.
We just differ a bit it seems with how we view her chances and her opponents.

          • Lobos Did you watch the first half of the race? Nationals are run at a quicker pace, It was a complete farce. Yes she's a very good mare but we learned nothing other than she still has 4 legs and a tail. She's probably gone quicker round the swimmer.

That's the thing I love about her though Brooksie. She is capable of adapting to any circumstances. Fast, slow, doesn't matter to her. If they'd have gone quicker she'd probably have won even easier.

                  • Surely Joe and the missus don't need three in the Champion Hurdle. Get Sir Gino over fences, let's see how good he really is.

                    • I'm thinking Lossiemouth gets an amended OR of 162 after yesterday. Add the 7lbs and that brings her to within 6lbs of Constitution Hill very best. You can see now how little she has to find ,if any at all, to be a very competitive match with him. She has further improvement in her as well imo.

What makes you think she should go up to 162 after that yesterday?
CH is 177 at his best, that’s 8lb.

If you take that literally then I can see Lossiemouth going up to around that, but imo that was not Teahupoo at his best.
She probably could have been the same as last season and still win that yesterday!!

Anyway, she’s now fav for the CH so you really don’t need to keep trying to fight her corner.
                        We all know she’s good!!

Irish capper put her up to 160.

                            Can't argue with that.

OR not RPR Carnage. Just saying that the gap has closed and there isn't that much between them . That's saying CH will hit his best as well which is highly debatable.

                              • Willie on Anzadam:

"He looks something special. I couldn't get him out last season, his form in France was good. I didn't know what was going to happen on Saturday to be honest, and was very pleasantly surprised with what he did. It was just an awesome performance."

He added: "He'll be turning five and has to take on Grade 1 horses now. It's going to be difficult to find where we're going to produce him next, but the International Hurdle at Cheltenham could be an option."
