  • I think the going will be the main decider for me

    heavy, teahupoo
    anything better than soft, Lossiemouth

    going stating ‘yielding’ atm

    • I'd be very disappointed if Lossiemouth were not able to win. If she doesn't then she's not CH material. No way does Teahupoo win a champion Hurdle.....that's the way I look at it.

Even though it's not the Champion Hurdle trip?

It's right in the sweet spot, not 2m not 3m, so it will depend how it's run, IMO.

Nah. She's the Mares Hurdle winner over that distance getting weight. She has to beat him. She's simply got to be better than him imo.

There is no sweet spot IMO.
I'd have a champion hurdler beating a stayer over 2m 4f almost all of the time.
And I think more often than not that she'd beat Teahupoo over 3 miles anyway.

But I do respect Teahupoo and depending on how the race pans out he could be closer than I imagine in my head.

I'm not so sure. Teahupoo is quick for a Stayer and he has won the last two Hattons Grace so I reckon he will be fit enough to win and this will be his only race before Cheltenham. Teahupoo is my selection.

              • Willie mentioned tonight that Lossie almost certainly will be kept apart from State Man all the way to Cheltenham.
Hattons Grace then the International - pencilled in for her.

                • Lossiemouth vs teauphoo over the mid distance is like boxers fighting at catchweight, well that's how i look at it ! Lossie for me, think she'll be too quick for him but think it'll be close.

Perfecto. Exactly how I'd imagined. Cheers Willie!

                    • …Lossiemouth to go unbeaten is 5-1 with PP.
