No, but pretty sure they would. He's their flag bearer, he's had him a problems, he didn't impress in his workout and they did after he flopped after his previous workout .

Mine get scoped after every bit of disappointing work when nearing a run.

Well I don’t know if they scoped or not either, but trainer and jockey both said they were happy with him, and no mention that they thought the workout was a flop, as you call it.
So if they are happy, maybe no need to scope.

Apologies, you said the previous was a flop not this one.

Then I guess, it depends how disappointed they were.
The fact they said they are happy suggests not that much.

As resident defender of the honour and integrity of the wettest duo since Spongebob and Patrick.
            Can I ask a hypothetical question ?
If Sir Gino is declared for the fighting fifth and Con Hill not.
How would you approach future comments from the pair ?
And would you love them a little less ?

There you go. I'd be shocked if they didn't do it. No news is good news though.

He would finally be strung up by puntersI stand by what I said that Sir Gino will not run at Kempton on Monday. He'll not be chasing until CH has been declared all clear to run at Newcastle.

                • One thing Chappers is good for, is pushing a question others wouldn't

Nico admitting he expected more from Con Hill - not that his and Nickys face didn't tell us that anyway

I don’t love them at all, and see no reason why I should not defend them if I feel it’s justified.
They tend to imo get too much stick, so a bit of balance ain’t a bad thing on a forum imo.
                    To answer your 1st question…….
It depends on the explanation given as to why .
The 2nd question does not apply.

We all know that. Clearly they'd want CH to move past SG with Nico motionless but it didn't happen. Either that means CH is not where they wanted him to be OR that Sir Gino is the next superstar. Punters are not idiots.

                        He’s working again this weekend.
So clearly they want him fitter than he was yesterday.
Main thing for me is they are happy that he’s back well and able to be trained for a campaign geared towards the CHurdle.

                        • There's gonna be a lot of very anxious/interested people waiting on this weekend's gallop, myself included !

Yep, that's the main thing. I get the feeling though that they know he's not going to hit the heights of before but he could still be potentially good enough. Nicky already coming out with the 'every horse gets beat one day ' which is true but I do think it's a bit early in his career to be saying it. Also the mention of Sir Gino stepping in if he were to fall short. That sort of rung a few alarm bells with me.
