I'd say he was very fresh having not seen a racecourse for near 12 months & I expect Nico was instructed to try and keep him in behind then finish alongside,also something no one ever considers is the weights carried,I've no idea who was on Sir Gino,Nico is a 10st 2 / 10st 4 man,was the other rider the same or are they a 9st wet through rider,just something else to consider.
