Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

      • So what do we make of PT choosing to ride SM?

Found it very interesting listening to Ruby talking on RTC.
Saying this is an Irish CH and PT will want to win the race.
Basically dismissing thoughts on March, and fair enough too imo, Sunday is a big race in itself.

He could of course make the wrong choice, especially as they both lost their last races, but the fact he’s chosen SM does mean he thinks SM will beat Lossie.
Like Ruby also said, so many ifs, buts and maybes!!
If ever there was a no bet race imo this is it.
Will be a fascinating watch though.

          Safest choice.
          Other owner couldn't really argue.
Although if Danny wins Sunday I'd tell him to do one.

Whichever way he'd have gone, with hindsight you can understand the decision

It's the safest way as well. No one can really be unhappy - now the track can do the talking

If I was heavily invested in Lossiemouth for the Champion Hurdle already you'd take it as a negative for now, but with a very live chance of it turning in your favour this weekend

            • I was expecting him to choose Lossie, having watched both horses this season.
So i presume SM is showing a lot more at home if he’s getting the jockey on his side.
May well have been close to a toss of a coin!!

If SM wins in Sunday, I'd guess that BDA would go Champion Hurdle and take on Conny and State Man, leaving Lossie to defend her crown.

                Nice related bet.
Done this one myself on 365, just under 56/1 in antepost market for Stateman Sunday, Lossie Mares, Brighterdaysahead ChampH.

                • Always thought Paul would pick SM regardless of form. He has been a wonderful servant to him and he's always said he's his favourite so there was little chance he'd desert him now. Win/win for him as if Lossiemouth wins then he'll just jump aboard her for the Fez.

Well not really win win cos he misses out on another Irish CH, which he wants to win.

There has to be some loyalty and he's done the right thing all round. I'm sure he'll survive if he gets beat .

Nowt wrong with loyalty, and of course he will survive, just saying he won’t be looking at it as a win win if he loses on Sunday.

He will because if Lossiemouth wins he jumps on her for CH. If State Man wins he stays on him for CH. Win/win.

so winning the actual races is not actually what you mean?
                              Its the horses he rides?
So he could lose both races and it’s still a win win.
                              Okey doke
                              Im with you now……..am I ?
