Il Est Francais running tomorrow at Auteuil at 4pm. Interesting to see how he gets on after disappointing in the Spring.

Just put him up for the Ryanair on my twitter with cashout

James Reveley thinks that may suit him better

IL EST FRANCAIS is back in work following his summer break with James commenting in late August: “He looks well and the King George is the plan. He was very impressive in the Kauto Star Novices’ Chase at Christmas. Below par in the Grade 2 Prix Murat at Auteuil in the spring, we tried to teach him and held him up that day but won’t be employing those tactics in future. Noel (George) and Amanda (Zetterholm) have given him a long break since and he will follow a British programme after Kempton. The Gold Cup could be on his agenda, but he has a lot of speed and I am not convinced he will stay three and a quarter miles. The Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham could be a better option.

Hadn't seen that but could use the Ryanair as a stepping stone this year.

Decent card at Auteuil. Fancy JDT to beat Losange Bleu.

Would be hard to avoid the Gold Cup if he won a King George as I couldn't see him running in between. Could always go Ryanair in 2026 if he doesn't stay.

            In OJA that

            Yeah Auteuil is nice tomorrow

The match between Losange Bleu and Jeu De Thaix should be a cracker - French champion against the new kid on the block, looking forward to that one very much.

I've got him covered nicely in a roll up so had to have the Ryanair shot on, and personally can see the case for that race much more now tbh. They've said they aren't going to try hold him up again like they attempted in the Prix Murat, so will be a case of going off from the front and jumping them into submission, much easier to do that in a Ryanair than lead all the way in a GC at that sort of pace.

I’d really fancy him in the Ryanair bowling along from the front Allaho style

Thanks for the info Darlo. Wondered why he was being nibbled for the Ryanair this week. Send me your copy of OJA and i will forward mine on to you when it arrives Just been down to the shop and got him onside as i have also got him covered for the GC so happy to have both races in. If he wins today even though he is odds on he will contract. That is also a very good bet for the win today and KG Eggs on t'other thread. Not often they stand out but that one does. Ive already covered him for the KG so happy to watch and wait now.

Any reason why it screamed Ryanair and not Gold Cup?

Anything specific during the race you noticed which means you wouldn’t think 3 miles 2 would, without doubt, not be his trip??

He was due to run in the French GoldCup over 3 miles 6F

What they want to do and what's for the horse are two different things, given that in OJA James Reveley said he doesn't know if he'll stay and thinks that the Ryanair will suit better should hold a lot of weight
