Would it be a massive surprise if he did drop back down to the Arkle?
I could see it happening.
Paul and the stable will probably have a good idea if Ballyburn is capable of beating Maj at 2 miles, and I don’t think the brown advisory is the strongest race. What price would Dancing City be if Ballyburn wasn’t in the race ?
You never know…. I think 6/1 NRNB is a sensible bet. There must be a reason they’ve left him in.
At least you'll get your stake back
There's no chance he'd run. Maybe if maj got injured.
Fuck sake boys! After the heart break of about 20 odd slips with Sir Gino & Teahuppoo doubles going up in smoke,ye now pulling me back in on me Ballyburn for the arkle with teahuppoo doubles! …….i can’t take this no more!! Hahaha!
Ballyburn would give Willie an excellent chance of a winner in the BANC much more so than Dancing City I'd say. He also has Majborough who is now long odds on to win the Arkle. He'll not be facing those two off and giving up a great chance of two festival wins.

Dancing City would be odds on for the race if Ballyburn was to come out, plus he would have a few others to throw at it also with Lecky Watson and Champ Kiely to name a couple. Also comes back to giving Townend two strong rides (An odds on fav and a 2nd fav) as opposed to just the one ride on an odds against favourite. Not saying it is likely but it is a possible.
Just what we wanted though, another wait and see to go with all the others!
Take your point but still feel Willie will believe he has a better chance of winning both races as it currently stands with Ballyburn going BANC especially with a slight doubt on whether Dancing City is completely in love with the course. Both Majborough and Ballyburn have been there and done it.
There’s no other reason other than if something were to happen to Maj.
Maj is ok then Bally goes BANC.
Imo he would not win the Arkle with or without Maj.
They have stepped him up because they and everyone else know he’s a stayer.
That’s how I see it.

I'd say that's how most in here see it and crucially I'd be pretty sure that's how Mullins sees it too...
