Stellar Story given 148 ?
And Three Card Brag dropped 2 to 145 ?
Betterdaysahead has just beaten the second a neck getting five pounds off him but if they run in a handicap tomorrow he has to give same horse 4lb (a 9lb swing for a neck)
Explain that to someone you feckin pesky handicapper.
Gordon will be pleased enough.
If it was ever on.

Fairly happy to have got that, as I also have a Majborough 20/1 slip that is suddenly looking bombproof should he get there. It's a shame as I wanted to see the clash with Sir Gino, but in a very rare event I have somehow come out with a major positive on my Antepost position for once!!
Ive lost some nice looking doubles and trebles with CHill and Jonbon

Only by night arkle doubled with bioluminescence mares could be a good double. She maybe only goes arkle if it's looking like soft/heavy on the Friday, in which case you'd think bioluminescence might be a strong fave. I wouldn't necessarily agree with her being a strong fave but that's where the market would probably have her.
51/1 nrnb roughly.Last edited by riccirich; 10 February 2025, 01:52 PM.

Awful news for connections re Sir Gino. Henderson has had crazy bad luck the last two Festivals.
Can see Jango Baie taking his place perhaps for Hendo but don't see much else being redirected to the race as Majborough is still going to be very hard to beat.

I think this bad luck narrative when it comes to Henderson is wearing a bit thin.
Nothing personal against the man, but there is no conclusive evidence that there was anything at all wrong with his stable at last years cheltenham. None of his top notchers underperformed because they weren't given a chance to run. Lucia ran the race of her life in the champion, lucky place ran his race in the coral. Aside from that it was mostly a bunch of average horses being put in they're place by better horses, and hindsight isn't really needed as the likes of jeriko, jingko etc had no form going in that entitled them to be competitive.
As for sir gino, i dont know the ins and outs of such things but if its true what another poster has said about how he should have had the vet in much sooner then he has to take a big part of the blame too. Going by the way mick Fitzgerald was going on on itv, it seems they may have been a bit more concerned about playing it down as nothing.Last edited by riccirich; 10 February 2025, 02:09 PM.

If CH, Jonbon, Lucky Place and Lulamba in particular get there he could still have a good festival.
Be good for me too

I thought any horse could run in the race, or is that the jack richards?
….Saxon is in the process of updating post #1 with race conditions the the individual threads for each of the ‘new’ handicaps.
