SS needs another run but the latter are possible and will be in the low 150s also. Don't think ITP is badly treated off an Irish mark of 149. He slaughtered Farron Glory and he is rated 9lb lower. Can forgive that last run considering the form of the HDB yard. The race in its previous handicap form had a good history I believe of being won by top class potential chasers and he would fit the bill to me. Entered in the Irish Arkle next week, but also in a 2m 1f handicap chase so clearly handicaps are potentially in their mind. Whether that means this novice handicap or sticking to 2m and the Grand Annual could be another thinking. Surprisingly, he isn't even priced up for the Novice handicap on Oddschecker and only Sky (9/1 NRMB) and Unibet (14/1) have him for the Grand Annual.

    • If Jagwar gets in this off a reasonable weight I could see JP having a right go on the day, with his Johnnywho winnings.

Jagwar (JR Novice), Crebilly (Plate), Johnnywho (KM).

          That's the bet!

I think Johnny goes Ultima myself, Jagwar is surely Tuners bound, might have to cover Johnny for the Kim Muir now as well

You could be right, Crebilly has stung me once too often though so I cant cover him, which obviously means he'll win something at a price very soon.

Shame for the race this…..not a penny on but hard to see what UK runners in it? Maybe they’ll have a rethink re Handstands. I’ve backed Hyland for Ultima but wonder if a few may switch back. Ballyburn will be 6/4 Sunday evening for this now imo

Thanks for the heads up, gutted for the yard & connections, hopefully whatever the reason it won't hinder the horses ability next season as he has bags of potential.

The update from Pauling sounded positive regarding the vets opinion at least... and he seemed confident he would fully recover for the Autumn. Fingers crossed for all involved anyway.
