  • GP would give them all a nice lead in the Arkle if he went for it. There would be no issues with the pace of the race for the likes of Sir G, Maj and Atlantique. Could make it quite a test should the ground come up Heavy again.

didn't they try that with Caldwell potter already?
as i said it doesnt suit your opinion, so now you try and call my response strange.
no worries carry on as you were
Enjoy today. What others think isn’t that important really. He was 100-1 before today for the Arkle and he looked better than that to my eyes. If you can get good paydays from him outside of the festival then you’ll have achieved a great deal more than the majority of us. Anything else is a bonus I’d say.

            • Oh clerks always lie, alll about getting as many as possible entered, was just thinking I couldn't remember it being heavy on day 1 myself, last one I really remembered it being bad was when he watered overnight when it pissed down from around 2am as well.

Just looked and apart from Constitution Hill's Supreme year it's opened up Soft or worse for the last 6 years at least. Seems the norm now.

                • Where does he send Gidleigh Park now? Arkle? I would wait for a high Graded 2 and a half mile chase. He isn't a 2 miler. All Novice/Beginners hurdlers/chasers start over 2m and usually win first up. He shit out of the Turners last year because of Ballyburn and sent him up to the Bartlett. He should wait until a good opportunity comes along and i hope he does. He would be interesting over that trip. Shoe horning him into the Arkle would be the second wasted year.

In my opinion, if that's allowed

I was with you on this one last week and have backed him at good odds for The BANC so I was amazed to see him over 2m . But if they are going down the 2m route then so be it and for the first time in my life I backed a horse at 1000/1. To hear he is down to 20/1 has me dreaming. How realistic is the dream? Well if a horse is going to get the 5 year olds wishing they had waited for another year it’s a horse who can do what he did today (in my opinion). But like many here I wish the old Turners were still here. As for the new Turners I suspect he might have to high a rating. Watch this space for me.

Oh yes, that would have been a better one.

I was just going to tell him, you saved me the job.

                            Everyone can have an opinion
it won't always be right yosser.

it's nice to see you'd like him to miss the arkle, even though some fellow members have some huge odds they'd like a run at
