Haven't seen or heard anything from the stable.

You'd think the new 2 and half handicap would be perfect for Jango Baie - his win over Springwell bay now reads really well, especially as Nicky is adverse to running his novice chasers at Cheltenham first time out but he jumped like a buck he wasn't stopping coming up the hill.

However, he's running out of time to get enough runs in for the Handicap so you'd think he would end up in the 3 miler - Dams sire is Kapgarde so you'd think he'd get 3m no bother.

He may well be saved for Aintree

I quite like the 'fridge' who has just posted a 158rpr over an inadequate trip on a speed track on unsuitable going against a potential superstar.

His jumping over 2m is not slick enough when he has to go that bit quicker, and he can't get away with it against the likes of a Sir Gino. Over 2.5+ going a steadier pace, his jumping is fine imo. I think he'll post a 160+ at the DRF and go on to win the BANC. 3m won't be a bother after winning over 2.5 on the bridle last year. The only doubt i have is i just love Impaire Et Passe with head and heart and he could be a serious spanner in the works.

In that connections of IA only mentioned him possibly going up against IEP at the DRF. No mention of having to race against Ballyburn as well.

The reality is, it's still a championship race at Cheltenham and you have to jump well, which IMO he doesn't do well enough.

The Jukebox Man jumps like a Gazelle in comparison to Ballyburn, if he was trained by Willie Mullins he'd be a 6/4 shot at this stage.

Plus Gordons Croke Park, despite being a far lesser animal over hurdles has taken much better to fences than Ballyburn.

Ballyburn the lay of the week for me atm.

I'll be there on the Wednesday this year, happy to bet a pint on it if you're there.

Aye I’m a bit confused about this narrative about Ballyburns jumping. Do we know for a fact his pre season schooling was poor? We’ve all heard the rumours but that’s all they were, has anyone credible came out and said anything?

He can’t jump at 2m pace, think that was evident against Sir Gino when upped in Grade. But other than the mistake at the last in that race I don’t recall any really serious errors that would be an issue at 3m. He’ll be going a stride slower going another mile, he’s bred for it as many have mentioned as well. If he gets from A to B and the engine is there he’ll be up there in the big spring festivals for me.

I was critical of his jumping on debut, but that was with an eye on him being an Arkle horse. I wouldn't really have any concerns over a longer trip, where he's not running full tilt.

He's the one they all have to beat imo.

The problem with jumping like a gazelle over staying distances is that it takes a lot out of the horse. I'd much rather an economical jumper over 3m.

The other issue I have with Jukebox Man, and it's only a slight niggle as I like him a lot.
He didn't really run away from Hyland after the last.
I've watched a couple of times and each time I want him to put distance and he doesn't.
Hyland looks big improver this season though and so that might not be a bad thing.
Or is that his level ?
