  • Lecky jumps a bit right
Assume Townend will be on either Ballyburn or Dancing City in the Browns

I had Lecky Watson shortlisted for the NHC before the changes were made.

Think he's the one that deserves a shot at a grade 1.
He might run quite well in the BANC.

          • …Lecky a best 16-1 BANC.

Remember nortonscoin200 put him up in his diary @ 100-1 along with a double on Galvin in GN.

Not a hope in hell of Townend riding him.

Winning jockey Paul Townend said: "The engine's definitely in there. The four-last and third-last were probably his best when we were going forward, as he took his eye off the prize a little bit throughout the race.

"And he found a leg when he had to as well as sometimes novices don't so he's learnt plenty there. And I thought he settled in quickly."

Sky Bet reacted by cutting Lecky Watson to 12/1 from 20/1 for the Brown Advisory Novices' Chase at Cheltenham in March.

                • He was novicey at one down the back, and untidy at the last, as well as jumping right at a couple. But he is a proper galloper, running at 31mph pretty much the whole way around.

He deserves a shot in the RSA and might well get a few out of their comfort zone and force some mistakes. Place chances, maybe more.

I’m on at 100/1 (thanks Nortons!) and will cheer him home if he does.

                  • You’d want bigger than 12/1 just for Townend to ride him never mind win the race! At least 3 or 4 ahead of him in the Mullins stable alone
