I think 2m5f is the limit of where IEP will be able to both travel and use his finishing kick. I’m not convinced he’d be able to do both to the same level over 3m. So I’d be in his camp in the Flogas too.
Looking at his Ballymore win over 2m5f he’s not remotely stopping at the finishing post. He’s bolted through the line pulling further away the further he was going. Watch the distance he puts into very good operators in Gaelic Warrior & Champ Kiely from the last hurdle to the line in soft ground.
He ran keen in Paul’s hands for a lot of that race too, he’s switching off much better this season. I don’t see an extra 3f being a huge issue personally.
Willie seems to have a number of potential options here, all with varying credentials coming from different form lines. Surely he won't run all of them. I may be in the minority but I don't think removing the 2.5m novice was a great idea and we may well see a number of horses miss Cheltenham for Fairyhouse and Aintree, which I'm not sure was the point of removing it.

I’m in agreement, and I think trainers are as well, particularly WM and NH I suspect
Ironic really that the year they get rid their seems to be a fair few that would have run it that may well not run in Arkle or BANC!!
Had the potential to be a real good race imo

The BANC isn’t always ran at an end to end gallop either it varies year to year. Hopefully the DRF race is truely ran & we’ll have a better idea of where they stand.

Definitely affected Mullins entries for Dublin.
He used to put the 2m/2.5m horses on the Irish arkle and thin them out that way, then send the beaten ones to the turners.
The longer trip at Dublin would generally be his number one turners horse if it won (sometimes RSA) and the beaten ones generally went RSA or nowhere.
Obviously the odd anomoly, especially last season.
I think he might not run Dancing City in Dublin this year and let Ballyburn and IET battle it out withe another one or two, depending whos ready to race that week of course.
I think Dancing City will go for the 3 mile graded race at Navan.
Be surprised if all of the 3 bigger names line up.

Ye I’d be thinking along the same lines regarding Dancing City not showing up, good chance G3 at Naas could be his next target, they’d have have a bit more time to freshen him up for Cheltenham after that.
