I think 2m5f is the limit of where IEP will be able to both travel and use his finishing kick. I’m not convinced he’d be able to do both to the same level over 3m. So I’d be in his camp in the Flogas too.

Not often Willie comes out and pigeon holes one of his at a certain distance but looks that way with IEP. Agree that he'd not be as effective beyond the mid trip. I'm actually in the Ballyburn camp for the DRF. If Sir Gino is a Banker then Ballyburn should be winning .

I think it’s a race to sit back and watch as it’s an absolute belter! Add in likely Dancing City, Better Days Ahead, Croke Park, Lecky Watson, Champ Kiely too!

I don’t think Ballyburn has done too much wrong so I’d slightly favour him, just because he couldn’t go 2m pace doesn’t mean he won’t be effective up in trip. His jumping has been absolutely fine, it may come down to who has the best engine turning for home and that kick jumping the last. I’ve always loved Impaire Et Passe as well who has been excellent in both starts thus far. Great race to look forward to.

Aye, that DRF race could be a belter. Can also see IEP winning it but I wouldn't fancy him much for the BANC, or anything else coming from this race if he were to win it... Which doesn't leave much other than The Jukebox Man. Might play that double.

Assume that is NH Chase. Personally think it is the wrong race for the horse and would stand a better chance in the Kim Muir, though can understand why they would rather stick with Novice company.

Will he ride in the NHC now? It's not an amateur race anymore, so it will count as one of his allotted professional rides. We've seen the sway he holds in the yard - essentially getting second pick where he wants - so he might choose to use his bullets in the Grade Ones rather than a handicap.

The same qualification rules apply to the amateurs as far as I know, in terms of amount of winners etc.

21 for a Category C license in Ireland, which is what Patrick holds.
