Ile atlantique won his first start in bumpers, then lost the other two
He won his first start over hurdles, then lost the other four
hes lost every time hes taken on a decent horse, including a defeat by Firefox in bumpers
To say he's not for me would be an understatement
Hes as much chance of beating gino as I do imo

Whats the end goal for him? A 3 year plan for a ryanair...jeeez
Novice Chasing has to be a route to something bigger and better, if you're a 160 Open Grade 1 Hurdler.

The Ryanair betting is usually a complete mess because of its well established fallback position for those that believe they can't win the main 2M and 3M2F - the Sprinters and the Stayers Championship Races.
Only when a horse like Allaho ended up romping it for the first time, did that races betting establish a shape to it, next time round, with Allaho headed there again.
It's the usual mess up again this time round.
But it's a well established decent (Cat 2) Grade 1 Festival race, and well worth its place, as a pack shuffler race after the QMCC and Gold Cup main players are established.
Long may it remain a Festival Race.Last edited by Saxon Warrior; 3 January 2025, 11:12 PM."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

Pic D’orhy eg has picked up over 800k without running at the festival so proves the point that mid distance chasers can earn good money if placed well
