  • I was just surprised no one had mentioned him yet Cat.
Also as much as the pair look well ahead of the competition at this point,in March they'll revert back to level weights which does make a difference, maybe not enough based on what we've seen from both this season, but it'll give the others a advantage they've not had so far against the 4yo's.

    • Ballyburn has to go up in trip, but tbh I think I'd take The Jukebox Man over him at the moment. As others have said, Ballyburn is giving me proper Envoi Allen vibes, obviously doesn't mean he can't go on to be a good horse, but I'm yet to see anything this season that suggests he's a festival novice chase winner in waiting.

Having bagged 20/1 on Majborough for the Arkle, Sir Gino was the only one I was really worried about... And I was right to because he just looks sensational.

The Juveniles look exceptional, even Burdett Road was running a big one when he whacked the last yesterday. If Salver turns up in the Relkeel on Soft ground he'll be a bet. Waiting for Kargese to appear this season too!

      • The back and forth me and Lobos have about Majborough still does have one serious point that i flagged up about a month ago. JP McManus has no horse for the BANC. There is nothing left to come out and has Majborough and Inthepocket for the Arkle. Would he run them both here and leave the BANC horseless? He did it last year in the Gallaghers when he sent Jeriko and Mystical Power to the supreme but that could have been on advice from Hendo regarding the well being of his stable.

I can't see him stepping Majborough up to three miles after being so impressive over two, plus he's only a five year old. Just my opinion though, i was wrong once but it was years ago !

To be fair to the BHA, up to now, the changes they have made have created 2 superb looking races.

I couldn't argue with that, willie mullins on the other hand probably would !

Sir G performance might twist his arm. Stats and reputations out the window this season. BANC could be the easier race for him.

Paddy in his interview today said 'Majboroughs running style is every bit suited to 2milers, Ballyburn to end up a 3miler, in time. They're 2 fair horses so we'll give it a go anyhow'.

Ballyburn BANC and Majborough arkle is my thinking.

Yep agree as performances this season would suggest that imo

I said after his race the other day that Maj should be fav for Arkle, now think he should be 2nd fav.
Looking forward to seeing in the pocket again though.

You're gonna have to let the majborough banc train go Lobos.

                            It ain't happening.

Just feels like a wasted top dart for JP against SG in the Arkle. He can sacrifice the older more experienced Inthepocket in that and let Maj roll in the open looking BANC where he'd likely go off fav.
