Well what else could you say, although the last bit is still to be decided.
After all you had Ballyburn as the winner not so long ago!!

        • I might be mad, but I think Ballyburn still turns up for the Arkle.

Bar a couple, I thought his jumping was a bit better today and Kempton is one of the sharper tracks he'll end up at over 2m.

Do I think he can beat Sir Gino off levels? I wouldn't take it off the table, put it that way, but obviously things will have to go absolutely perfect for him and less so for Sir Gino.

Take nothing away from Sir Gino though, an absolute natural, a phenomenal debut over fences.

The bet is also "to remain unbeaten in 2025" as opposed to "24/25 season" just in case anybody misread it, which means he'd have to be unbeaten at the start of next season too in open company.

Yeah I thought he jumped better today as well, but watching him compared to Sir Gino it’s clear to me they are chasers belonging at different distances .
And seeing their respective jumping after being analysed on rtv it’s pretty clear there as well.
I would be surprised if Bally goes 2m again.

                        • I made a comment a little while ago about the game spirit for Sir Gino, If they think he has the same sort of potential as SS and Altior then that race would fit in nicely just before the festival. I don't think that would be part of Jonbon's plans would it? I might be wrong.

Hendo mentioned the Kingmaker at Warwick, as a possible race fir SG.
I guess the Game Spirit could also be an option as Jonbon is planned to go to Ascot .

I wouldn't be surprised at all, he could still be the best of Willie's over 2m, for all we know.

14/1 is a great price, IMO.
