….my understanding is that age is also a factor, so he’s pitching him in against top company on his first start to determine if he should protect his novice Chase status until next season. If he beats Ballyburn then it’s all systems go for Arkle, if not he’ll probably be carefully managed over hurdles for the rest of this campaign.

What do we think the tactics will be in n the Sir G v Ballyburn match up ?
My thoughts are PT will send BB out from the front and use his jumping experience and potentially better stamina to try and force Sir Gino and Niko into doing too much and hoping he makes errors in his first start over fences.

If his jumping allows him too. I wasn't convinced he was fast enough from A to B to be an arkle winner. But maybe the run and extra schooling will sort that out.

Yeah heard that. But only mentioned Stellar Story for the 3m chase … everyone’s favourite Xmas double might be under some strain here:
Cashed mine - hopefully doesnt come to bite me on the arse
On that though, there could be some serious value going in the 3m Leopardstown
Top 3 in the betting don't look like turning up so atm its
13/2 Stellar Story
10/1 Search for Glory
14/1 High Class Hero
14/1 Buddy One
20/1 Waterford Whispers
25/1 QDB
I've taken a punt on Stellar as he got the namecheck from Gordon for this and also a small cover on HCH thinking that Willie won't gift Gordon a free g1 without putting something in the race.
