If Constitution Hill bombs in the Xmas Hurdle would Sir Gino then be switched back to hurdles again as substitute even if he were impressive against Ballyburn???
Is there a chance that SG runs against Lossiemouth (assume he gets 4yo allowance?) rather than CH as he's race fit and CH would perhaps prefer an easier introduction than giving an in form race fit mare 7lbs ?
There's other races CH could run in. Relkeel perhaps? International?
Edit...just seen 4yo no allowance. Question still valid though.Last edited by Lobos; 22 December 2024, 03:43 PM.

Jeez lighten up man.
I’m merely responding to you that I’d be very surprised if it was anything to do with prize money. Anyway enjoy the rest of your Sunday if you can, crack a smile

Certainly that’s how racing post seem to show it. Is it not depending on them winning a certain graded race, which he’s done now having won a Grade 1?

He'd be ridiculed if he backed out knowing he's got a race on his hands - and rightly so.

If Constitution Hill bombs out in the Xmas Hurdle they may send Sir Gino back over hurdles, that’s what was frustrating me, just make a decision is it chasing or hurdling, not just using him if ‘the star’ horse was right or not.

He just expects easy races up until the festival, but even I'd be gobsmacked if he didnt' run him next week, think the owner getting abit sick of it too, told Nicky no more racecourse gallops already

Sir Gino going chasing
And CH is on course for Kempton as planned.
Never been a mention of any other race for him.
If Lossie turns up , she turns up.
I think it’s ideal for them to know if they need to switch SG for CH if CH is obviously not the same horse, with enough time before March.
Sir Gino could win the Wayward and still go back hurdling if connections are ok with that.

On Mark Howard's diary page yesterday he says he received news of a high profile novice chaser who is ruled out of the festive season. It will be in his Christmas update who the horse is tomorrow. Anyone heard who it is?. Any guesses?
