He was very convinced that Impaire Et Passe wouldnt go 3m at Leopardstown as he said Willie just doesn't do that with a horse that has never gone that trip before. Sounds like Ballyburn will go Wayward Lad so IEP can just slot into Faugheen Chase with either High class Hero or QDB or both going the long distance chase.
Makes sense.
I’d be surprised if he pitches either of the other horses into a 3m Grade 1 chase with no run this season let alone no run over fences either.
Would be completely un-WPM-like to do that. Surely of the 3 entered Impaire Et Passé is the most likely to run there.

I've no idea. Just passing on what Ruby said and he was ultra convincing. He emphasised more the fact that IEP hasn't gone 3m yet and HCH has albeit over Hurdles. QDB not gone 3 but maybe looked more of a stayer than IEP over hurdles ?
Not really fussed where they run personally .....as long as they run. I know some on here will also bet on the races at Xmas so just passing on Ruby's comments.

The problem with Ruby's theory is when does IEP go over 3m then?
His first try would be at the festival.
They have to try them out at some point whether that be before or at the festival.
Fact To File waited until the festival for his first try, albeit he came from a p2p background.

I was looking at these races yesterday for some betting opportunities and ended up backing impaire for the faugheen with some risk.
I just felt the three mile race looked weak enough for Willie to pitch one of his others in.
i also thought Croke park might go faugheen based on the pace he showed last time
so if better day’s ahead goes 3 miles then Willie got a slight form line through slade steel and might think one of his could be up to going close first time up.
