Gidleigh park declared for Ascot on Friday.
Excited to see this lad over a fence.
Always seemed to want to go a bit quicker than the jockey allowed over hurdles.
I'm hoping he'll be an arkle horse rather than banc.

hope you are wrong on that call as I’m focused on BANC. Last season the Supreme was so far as I know never contemplated I would be surprised if they now entertain the Arkle route - but you have got me thinking.

I don't think the supreme could ever have been considered because his hurdling was to put it politely, not very good. But in Harry frys stable tour he did concede even the supreme might even have been a better choice than the one he ended up making.

He's a horse that looked every inch a chaser, one I could see making ground at every fence. Obviously this is all my opinion, and luckily for you killiney, im usually wrong

He's not been declared yet, but in the event he is declared - I'll be watching his jumping. Too many rumours that schooling hasn't gone well, and if it hasn't, stepping him up in trip is the obvious route

You don't want to be going 2M Novice Chase pace if your jumping technique is suspect.

That trip you get found any quickly if making errors, or being slower over the fences.

Maybe if his schooling improved they could give him 1 pre-Christmas BeginCH to see if in competitive racing (not schooling fences) he looks the part.

That 2m novice chase was always a good one at the Lawlor’s meeting, will probably attract an even better standard next year, can’t wait for Naas!
