most arkle contenders would be rated high 140s and in to 150s over hurdles as a minimum. Thats why it isnt seen very often.
Henderson is very fortunate this year that his better novice hurdlers weren't able to perform to their potential in the end of season graded races. So he's got a bunch of potentially graded level novice chasers with incredibly low marks based on their potential.

    • Can't believe these trainers are already moaning about the ground conditions. Same for everyone. Just get on with it. All courses make it as safe as they can . Remember when horses raced on ground described as 'Hard'.

He should bolt up shouldn't he.

Problem is in reality they don’t get on with it at times
So best imo to be aware of that and what it could do with us as antepost backers

Yes, and potentially bigger prices than would be

I think, like someone else said , it won't affect us as AP punters as the best trainers only give them 2/3 max runs before the Fez. Can't be worrying about ground conditions as well as everything else.

But they do worry about ground conditions, as two of our top trainers have just said.
Imo it’s entirely possible that we back horses for March that don’t turn up in March, because their planned campaign got affected.
Im just preempting what could happen, no more than that.

Fully understand your point but mine is that none of us punters will be factoring in that when making our picks especially as 90% of mine have been made already

                    Embarrassing.

Shame, was looking forward to seeing him jump.
                        Oh well.

I like to see them jump if thinking about a half decent wager
Maybe it affects maybe it don’t, but it’s not ideal if trainers are pulling their novices when it’s clear they want to get a run into them.
Im sure PN wanted CT to get a run today, but not happening.
Hopefully it don’t harm his plans too
                          much going forward.

As an owner, if I had a decent prospect who had his season affected by being jarred up or worse first time out, I'd be asking serious questions of the trainer. Exeter don't have an irrigation system so they can't be blamed. It's just one of those things.
