  • Cosy enough for Johnnywho but I don't think he finds anything off the bridle so may not have made a massive amount in hand.

    • Sir Gino took a proper scalping in the Arkle today. Not seen anything since the stable tour which said probably staying over hurdles. Anyone heard different.

        Shorter now than the CHurdle.
I saw a quote where he said we think he will jump a fence in time, but we are thinking stick to hurdles for now, or words to that effect. Not seen anything since.
Maybe he has done some schooling? And it went well?
Hes probably the 2nd best hurdler in the yard, and could be a sub for CHill, if things don’t pan out for that one.
Hes certainly open to plenty of improvement.
        Very interesting!!!

        • What a race we could have now there's no Turners to split them up.

          • Yeah would be great to have a few with live chances in an Arkle.
This Sir Gino situation could be a sign that they are really pleased with CHill, and decided to school SG over fences earlier than planned.Knowing that they can revert back to hurdles if needed.
Definitely a situation to keep me an eye on.

              • Interesting with no quotes leaking from anywhere suggests it’s either insider money or a fake gamble driven by the enemy.

Hahaha, no, but he ain’t said anything yet about going chasing, just the market talking
Anyway, no doubt I bored people enough yesterday

                  • I don't think we'll be any the wiser re Ballyburn when Mullins Stable Tour comes out other than knowing whether he'll go chasing. They'll just say he can step up in trip or drop down in trip and that all options are open. He'll be entered in everything. It'll be the same situation as last season unfortunately and we'll be discussing it until a week before the Fez. Just need to cover every angle.

I very much doubt that if he has been campaigned over a certain trip all season and say he wins at the DRF over 2m they then decide to send him over 3m. Only very extreme circumstances would cause that.

You’re right about the stable tour it’ll be chasing or hurdling and that’ll be about it.

Yeah, I suppose it does make life easier without the Turners option. DRF will be deciding factor.

                          • Edging Arkle for me ....maybe 59/41.....but only because of the current betting which didn't help us at all with him last season.

                            • I have absolutely no idea. I ve backed him for champion hurdle, but wouldn’t touch him for a novice chase. Rightly or wrongly I just think that ballyburn stinks as a chaser
