Not really. As Willie has already said, they've taken the 2m chase out at Christmas, so they have to find them somewhere to go. Gordon will be thinking the same.

Yep. Also the Turners as we know it has gone which is where the majority of his winners of the race went. The changes really have messed up and somewhat negated the stats/trends from previous years.

      • Kalif Du Berlais : Came to through to win in a race where they looked to be a good gallop. But to my eye he looks to have a lot be of growing still to do before he realises his potential. Do t think he is Arkle material at the moment.

Very nice. 16/1 very fair I'd say.

…12-1 best price by the looks of it.

                      • Jumped very nicely. And I reckon that'll work out a decent race.

                            Yeah, a handicapper, at best.

Bet Victor went 16-1 straight after but clearly that's been snaffled up. 12-1 is about right.

A bit frustrated at Musachio ... I fancied him for the NHC, but he's probably run himself our of the limit there.

                              • Possibly not a banc type as impressive as he was? Worn down late in the bartlett, jumped very exhuberantly there and got them all at it before again tying up a bit late on over 2 and a half, albeit possibly lacking a bit of fitness on seasonal debut.
