Interesting to see if he ends up meeting Inthepocket

One of them will end up fav for the handicap

    • How many runs is it now for a hcap chase at the fez?

please tell me you took the 66s.

Edit: watch that interview with Gordon. That smile
That smile was categorically "stop asking me about how good he is, I'm trying to get him in the handicap!" for me

Not a bean. I’ve barely had an ante post bet yet. Through the summer I’d had him down as a Turners horse anyway.

Given his niggles, they may not want to run him often enough to get the required runs in for a handicap.

Four I think. One less than hurdles. I think they’ll not want to go to the well too often with him if he struggles with niggles.

Just the three for the Turners. So 2 more would be doable. I’d be surprised if he was given a competitive mark after that though.

                  Yeah my thoughts exactly

Be very surprised if he ended up in a hcap

Ah yes, I keep thinking the open chase requirement.

Ha. I read it more as “he’s a weapon and the cats out the bag now”.

I mean that could also be true but is he really stuffed in terms of getting 145 now if he runs poorly in two Graded races?

I think it's borderline but I can't have that all of King, Nurburgring and Birdie Or Bust have all run to their peak Hurdles mark on chase debuts there...

145 is only relevant to the NH chase

Is that confirmed now? I've heard both "limited handicap" for the 2.5 miler and "0-145" from different people?

If it is limited handicap, even more reason for DML to go the 2.5 mile route I'd argue as he'll get a better mark than inthepocket or iberico lord for the McManus team

Wouldn't want the deep winter ground as we seen last season, but probably every chance Leopards at Xmas will be fine this year.
yes well done you flagged up months ago as one that may have been forgotten. After today he must come into the Arkle picture. Especially as he drifted in the betting and presumably connections felt he needed the run!

JP and Gordon could get both their respective Arkle runners with decent jockeys on board. JP’s could still try and be handicapped but I think they’re both good enough to go the graded route.
