I hate to say it , but i can see this happening , especially with the likes of I.e.P ., and Michael O'Leary said this could happen in racing Post.
And Obviously , Willie's got a Pile of Good Horses , Can't all go to cheltenham .. .

Agree. Also I do think the changes will mean that Willie will keep a few more of his Novices back hurdling . The loss of the Turners probably makes it easier for Willie to send Ballyburn down the CH route as well imo.

Well if loudmouth has said it, and he has the ability to influence things, I'd suggest it will definitely happen so he can prove himself to be right....

I don’t believe for one second WPM skips Cheltenham with his top horses, not a chance, imo.

He’s got that much ammunition his potential second strings would beat most over here anyway and the likely outcome will be they run at both which he doesn’t mind doing either.

He backs horses up at Fairyhouse and Aintree regularly so I don’t think we need to worry about that just because they’ve taken away 1 race. Impaire Est Passé (IEP) will be more than capable at the minimum and probably even 3m imo, it’s just whether the Ballyburns or Dancing Cities of this world are better at those distances than him (Ballyburn may still be kept hurdling so it’d be a shoe in IEP would go Arkle).

Hope everyone has had a great summer Just started going through a few races. What's everybody's thoughts on Irish Point for the Arkle? Tried at the highest level over hurdles only finding the likes of Stateman a bit too good. Stays well which is something usually required in an Arkle. 12/1 seems reasonable if taking to fences. Can't find any confirmation about him going novice chasing this season, but you'd think with them having Teahupoo for the stayers and things not getting any easier hurdling over 2 miles the better option is going fencing? Thoughts?

Would imagine him and Slade steel will be split as they’re both robcour owned.

Arkle seems the right race for him with Slade Steel going BANC.

Supreme winner to the BANC? Surely not Lobos. I know there are mitigating factors with no graded Turners this time and Slade Steel really being a 2 and half mile hurdler but that is a huge leap.

Yep, that's two of the reasons. Plus same owner's Irish Point to Arkle, RB saying he's a Gold Cup horse and avoiding Ballyburn again potentially.

Apart from that he'll go to the Arkle

It's a fucking huge leap to think the Grade 1 winning 3 mile (less a few yards) hurdler from last year is going to be a 2 mile novice chaser and the Supreme winner is going to be a 3 mile novice chaser.

You'd think the reverse would be more likely...

Fiddlerontheroof? Mind you, there’s a very significant difference this year with the Turners no longer being an option for the better animals.

Slade Steel would have went Ballymore if Ballyburn went supreme

with the turners changing, we could see the supreme horse in the Banc

I'd be cautious about backing anything from The Supreme as the ratings for the race were well below the norm. I think we may have a few surprises in the novice chases this year.
