  • Sir Gino looks really good for the arkle, as it stands, unless Majborough puts up a decent display in Dublin.
But at odds on he's shocking value right now, I've laid to cover the stakes I have on doubles and the single on the champion hurdle.

Someone should ask Henderson if he'd replace C Hill in the Champion hurdle if C Hill was ruled out at any point.
A risk arkle backers could do without really.

I would look at possible cover bet on IA if ground was similar to today.
But yes they won’t be worried.

        Let it go COD

Its the equivalent of me hanging on to willy de hole...

(althought he would have LOVED that ground there today

Think it's more about his jumping Carnage but take your point. Soft would be better and every chance of that going by recent years. Would struggle to get anywhere near Sir Gino though as would everyone else.............unless the 5yo curse gets him

          • Still think a lot of people are sleeping on L'Eau du Sud. SG & Maj look to set the standard but Cheltenham form over fences is worth its weight in gold.

14/1 for L'Eau du Sud or 8/1 Ile Atlantique?!

Doubt anyone would be looking at backing him now anyway
May as well wait for the day if not on already.
Hopefully the outcome at the DRF will provide a decent betting race for the Arkle.

              • Arkle
                Majborough - Walsh
                Il Atlantique - Townend
                IEP? - JJ

                Browns
                Ballyburn - Townend
                Dancing City - Danny/Patrick
                Champ Kiely - Danny/Patrick

Strange to have a fairly good idea of who's going where 2 months out when it comes to Mullins!

Could Inthepocket end up in the Novice Handicap and do an A Plus Tard?

Not so much from Firefox who jumped poorly

And inthepocket who jumped averagely and hung like a rusty gate

He's finally beaten a decent field

Firefoxs jumping errors meant Paul could set a steady gallop from the front and the race was over at that point really

                  Inthepocket was very dissapointing
High praise from FF.........biggest IA hater out there.

That means we can mark his performance up 10 fold

He's not going to win, I've said that, but he's an E/W play still to my eye.

Ile Atlantique may confirm the form, but Inthepocket was the real disappointment IMO!

I've not given up hope with FF either. It's not like he was beaten out of sight. Still has place claims imo.

I was hoping he'd be pushed to 25/1 NRNB but that hasn't happened, yet.

On RTV he said he had impaire for the 2m5f and maybe something else. I assumed the something else was ballyburn.

Will be a good clash and the winner will be short priced fav for the BANC if impressive

If he jumps like that in the arkle he hasn't a hope of even placing

They didn't even go quick today and he struggled.

You'd imagine they'll go plenty quicker in the arkle so he will need lots of schooling

                            • Gordon on Firefox:

"He ran well. He struggled with the ground the whole way but I love the way he battled to the line. He will be all right on better ground."

As said earlier, wouldnt surprise me if he finished ahead of Ile Atlantique on spring ground at the festival!
