Looks like Chasing will be the making of him.
Maj incidentally has never gone further than 2m, which obviously is not surprising as he’s just turned 5, which is probably the reason why he won’t be going further for a while imo.

Even if he did run in it he'd finish out the back of the TV. He's just not a 2m chaser.
Paul can just sit it out and save all his energy for Lossiemouth in the Churdle.

Only other possible I can think of is tullyhill. He'd look to be a long shot at this point but it wasnt a bad run behind majborough giving the allowance, he might improve enough to go there with an each way chance.

I don't think he ends up out the back of the TV if he runs, either. Don't be surprised if he puts up a better performance than that at Kempton.

Not saying he's a Betting proposition obviously with all the doubt, just saying it would be no surprise to me at all if he turned up in the arkle, if ballyburn and ile atlantique dont show themselves as serious contenders.

Wouldn't take much to put in a better performance than at Kempton where he just looked painfully outpaced. I do hope Willie sees sense and steps him up and not continue with what looks a complete waste of time over the minimum trip. He has Maj who looks the only one to me who could possibly get Gino out of 2nd gear.

Do people think Willie cares if Paul is on a horse or not for the race. If he thinks Majborough is his best chance in the Arkle and has a good chance of winning, and he has others who slot in better in other races than the Arkle, I don't think he'd throw one in just for Paul to ride a loser.
Didn't Paul skip a load of the handicaps last year just to minimize chance of injury so he could ride the stable stars? I bet Paul won't be arsed either about not riding in the Arkle if he's going to be riding the stable 2nd string who will possibly be 4th or worse in the betting.

Both will be doing all they can to dog it and finish 2nd
the moral winner of that clash would be the one who doesn't win
