Definitely not a fifteen pointer though at 16-1.
we’ll see how it pans out.
All I've essentially done though is a roll up while taking a small profit today.
I've just been completely transparent with what I've done.

He is not a 15pt bet and we both know that

Imagine what he'll do without a nosebleed

        • That was a really impressive performance from Tripoli flyer yesterday and I hope all is well with the horse this morning after he bled from the nose.

The adonis and dovecote are run on the same card each year, over the same course and distance.
The sectionals will make for interesting reading, I think a certain Mr Rowlands might be impressed with Tripoli flyer.

As with the last 10 seasons prior to yesterday the dovecote was again run in an overall quicker time.

I've done a bit of research and here's what I found.
Year Dovecote time adonis time difference
          2025 Tripoli flyer (11-8) 3:57.00 mambonumberfive(11-0) 4:03.40 +6.40 secs
          2024 lump sum (11-5) 3:50.60 kalif du berlais (11-5) 3:51.70 +0.90
          2023 Rubaud(11-5) 3:50.55 Nusret(11-0) 3:51.00 +0.45
          2022 Aucinrisque(11-5) 3:49.60 Knight salute(11-3) 3:51.8 +2.20
          2021 Cape gentleman(11-2) 3:45.50 Tritonic(10-12) 3:46.00 +0.50
          2020 Highway one o two(11-2) 3:53.23 Solo(11-3) 3:54.60 +1.37
          2019 Southfield stone(11-2) 3:43.10 Fusil raffles (10-12) 3:43.60 +0.50
          2018 Global citizen(11-2) 3:47.10 redicean (11-1) 3:49.90 +2.80
          2017 River wylde(11-6) 3:47.10 Master blueeyes(11-2) 3:49.80 +2.70
          2016 Winter escape(11-6) 3:50.20 Zubayr(10-12) 3:50.90 +0.70
          2015 Days of heaven (11-6) 4:06.36 Beltor(11-2) 4:08.42 +2.06
Now 95% of you are probably thinking why the bloody hell have you wasted your time on that, 95 is probably generous.
Obviously there's many different variables here and I'm not saying he'll win the supreme on this alone but it certainly helps to justify my decision in betting him.

He should get a timeform rating in the 150s for his performance yesteday, and on official ratings i think hes going to be right up there.

          What an impressive performance

I did, always enjoy a day out at Kempton, probably my fav course, good atmosphere good racing and not too crowded, and you can get to chat to trainers and jockeys quite easily if you want.
As well as your boy I got the Adonis winner, but if course some losers as well.
Backed the 125 wtaf for Flyer, will follow up with an e/w punt at some point.
Hes an interesting one with that turn of foot he showed.
            Cheers

Yes always a good racing crowd at kempton, I would've been attending myself yesterday had Gidleigh park been entered for the pendil.

I didn't go for the wtaf myself, contemplated it, but i was always wary he could skip cheltenham for Aintree, but I think fergal obriens comments post race are very encouraging.

I think you could probably wait for extra places and still get the prices that are around at the moment, but im sure you'll play him at the correct time.

                Good luck cat

                    I'm no expert Jim
but imo that would've been from a bit of hurdle flying up his nose, he hit enough.
But i repeat im no expert and its my opinion

                      Hopefully!!
Think it may be a tad unwise to dismiss him if he turns up on the Tuesday.

Personally, and its just my opinion, but Id had the ones ahead of him in the market ahead on ability, so wouldnt be a bet that interests me at all, even at the still OK prices on the machine

                            Yeah, I can see that.
He was one I hadn’t thought it at all until I read Aaron’s post yesterday.
I then had a look at him in the paddock and backed him for yesterday, and then noticed hills wtaf price and put a little on that just in case he put in a performance that impressed me.
I thought it was very good and the way he quickened was eye catching to me.
Hes a lively outsider I would label him as right now.

                              • Tripoli Flyer looked ok yesterday but I can't see him in the top 3 of what I've said previously will be an above average Supreme.

He's been beat twice at Chepstow, which may be because it was his first runs of the seasons but it could be the configurations of the track. All his wins have been on flat tracks. He's a nice horse for Fergal and if the top Irish horses didn't turn up in the grade 1 at Aintree, he'd have a good chance of winning that.
