  • Might be that I'm trying to hang on to any evidence of KDB running in the Turners, but this article doesn't sound like the decision is cut and dry.

Isn’t that ‘new’ article and copy and paste job from an old article (since which, Willie has been a lot more categoric)?

        • Personally believe the only way we'd get the domino effect is if it were a very dry spell leading up to and during the Fez.

Don't do it mate! You probably can't cash out any bets for KDB Turners now anyway, but I'd suggest hoping with no rationale for the best (KDB Turners), whilst preparing for the worse (KDB Supreme) - that's what I'm doing anyway, knowing full well that it won't happen

As an aside, what's the rationale behind Kawaboomga going Supreme? He got pumped by KDB on debut, where both looked like they would improve before KDB improved a full 12lbs more on his second start (9lbs Kawa, 21lbs KDB) according to RPRs. There's not normally 12lbs difference in improvement between two horses just because one ran in a maiden vs a graded race - it's normally around 7lbs. Makes considerably more sense to me to go two handed in the Turners and send Kel Histoire who got close-ish to Salvator despite suffering interference in the Moscow Flyer to try and fill one of the places there. There's no obvious evidence that any of them would beat KDB and it's not clear they'd beat Salvator or Romeo so makes sense to try and win the other race to me?

Yep, and it’s clear that WM sees Kawa as more of a Turners horse, and he should know!!!
So no sensible rationale that I can see.

                  As said before……Kopek,Salvator to Supreme
                  FD and Kawa to Turners.
Think Kel H will turn up in one or the other.

                  • Ruby on latest paddy power podcast very confident on KDB for the supreme with Kiss Will and Karbau as good each way picks. Doesnt even mention the possibility of KDB for the turners. Also suggests Kawaboomga is most likely Turners bound. He had slight reservations about Final Demand having the speed for the turners, but does say hes the best horse in race.

I thought he said Kappa Jy Pyke and Karbau for the Supreme and that Kiss Will might step up to the Turners as he settles well?

Kawaboomga should not be underestimated, IMO.

I think he now goes to the Turners with a real chance.

                          Totally agree

I've my reservations myself about Final Demand and whether he possesses the speed for a Turners, whereas Kawaboomga is a fast improving horse, think he'd go mighty close if they send him that way, and would personally have him shorter in the betting

8/1 NRNB is a lovely E/W play. That said, I've used that phrase before and it doesn't look like ending too well
