Looking not too bad at the momen and I might book build more often in the Nov hurdle races going forward.
Rightly or Wrongly , i started a couple of years ago , whatever i back in the Supreme , i back in the Turners / Gallaghers / Neptune ...
whatever it's called that year ... Missed Out before , where only backed in one or T'other ..

    • Has something been said about the The Yellow Clay going to the Albert Bartlett today. Sea of red on Oddschecker for Turners and sea of blue for the AB. Anyone know or heard anything ? Looks an obvious move give how impressive Final Demand was at the weekend and Willie being clear he will go Turners.

      • No. All protagonists drifting against a shortening favourite in final demand.
just like the supreme betting pattern

        • Johnny Dineen wouldn’t back Final Demand in the Turners in a million years

          • Personally I still like Romeo for the supreme and yellow clay for the turners and I’m just topping up.
may be an egg on face moment

              Neither would I personally

When do 2m6f+ winners win the turners?

Faugheen did, can't think of anything else

The issue i have is I usually back something with top 2 mile form and none of this years contenders really seem to have that.

My hope is that the new lion drifts on the day and all the money comes for final demand. Might get 6 or 7/1 on the exchange if he's weak.

His win was as good as final demand

                • 48 hours have passed and I've just about come to terms with the Kopek performance. I can't remember feeling so low after such a brilliant performance. Actually, it was probably when Faugheen was announced a non runner shortly after his Irish Champion Hurdle wins in 2016.

I've tried to salvage my ante post book the best I can but it's not looking great at the moment. I went from dreaming of semi retirement to at damage limitation in the space of about 5 minutes.

Maybe one day I'll learn not to swing from the hip to this extent, or at least cover other possible targets when I do!

I can't see anything getting close to him in the Supreme. He looks a superstar in the making on that performance.

                    He does look a superstar

The only way he loses is if he beats himself. By boiling over in the prelims, which jane mangan said on RTC that he did at the DRF. So they may struggle to keep a lid on him pre race for the first race of the festival with so much noise and people about.

I'd imagine he will wear ear plugs in the parade ring

Agreed. On that performance it's difficult to see any of the novices getting close to him.

                      • You could take the kawaboomga form on face value, turners has been namechecked , might be the only horse to get within a couple of lengths of kopek all season going forward.

That superb performance has certainly caused some damage, I've only got him covered for turners as well, apart from a little bit TWAR from months ago and gonna be virtually impossible to get him onside for supreme now.

I have him covered for the supreme to an extent, but also would much prefer him in the turners and final demand in the bartlett. I've tried convincing myself the race was crap, and I think it was to a point. Main market rival kaid dauthie was poor, and the horse he was closely matched with prior in koktail divin, was beaten close to the same distance by william munny and kawaboomga that kopek beat kaid by. So on form lines there could be something that can get to him. But the ease with which he done it is the big worry. But still hope if you want him beaten in the supreme. salavtor could take a similar step forward from seasonal debut, or kopek might boil over with the crowd given he was a bit keen.

It won't help for multiples, but my advice for anyone wanting to cover him for the supreme in a single bet, is make sure you have money in your exchange account and hope willie says something to cause panic in preview season. He'll probably say the supreme is the plan in about three separate previews, and then on the fourth he'll feel he has to say slightly different gibberish to the first three, and will blurt out something like "he could go further if we wanted, it would depend on if paul thinks he'd settle". Cue panicstations and people trying to lay off their supreme stake on the exchange for about an hour, you might nab 3/1 or something

On this subject, Mullins must be a master at getting them calm enough at Cheltenham.
I can't remember many of his short priced horses losing the race before the start.
I know he has an exceptional record for horses priced below 2-1 13/15 and one was Galopin's fall.

He's wiped out nearly 20 percent of my betting bank.

I blame Wille for not running him early in the season. If he had done, his price would have shortened and I wouldn't have kept getting sucked in for more.

Bet365 even pushed him out in price early December so I went in again!

                                Anyway, I'm over it.......
