Didn't seem overly happy in this interview, I felt.
In fairness he'd probably been pestered by everyone prior to it given the amount of horses he had going, but almost feels like things didn't quite go to plan, or how he expected them to go.
Worth listening to in full. My take is that Final Demand just won’t go AB at all - Willie’s reaction says it all.
The language about Kopek and Mundi is more nuanced - it’s possible Kopek could go to either race from listening to that. And we know Mundi is only entered in the Supreme.
Kopek pulled a little in the run from rewatching, but nothing excessive and he was clearly lit up by the faller. His jumping didn’t scream Supreme to me - he was high and slow or deliberate at quite a few. Yes of course he’s got a huge engine, but the jumping and the fact he got very lit up in the parade ring beforehand means there will be a debate about the Tuesday or Wednesday in the Mullins camp I think given the crowd on the Tuesday and the first race.
I don’t think it’s a done deal he goes Supreme, albeit I think it’s much more likely than not. Mundi could be as good as FD and KDB, but at the moment the latter two are the two best novices in the camp who’ve proved it on the track.
(I say this as someone who’s backed him equally for both in singles, albeit multiples more in the Turners).
There was once a poster called Well Chief - intelligent and well mannered man. He would love this stream - argue for his betting slips all night - even in the face of strong evidence to the contrary. Just do the obvious double, forget about Salvator Mundi, go to bed and sleep tight
The Yellow Clay at 5/1 NRNB looks a nice bet for the Bartlett now. I know some are on at fancy prices, but I missed the boat. It looks a very weak division now that the market principles look to be heading elsewhere. He must be 12lb clear of anything else on ratings (other than Jet Blue).
As the only obvious class angle into the race, I could see him being very popular on the preview circuits and going off 5/2.
NRNB is important ad Gordon has nominated him for elsewhere, but it wouldn’t be unlike Gordon to change his mind, and fairly so given what we’ve just seen.
I’ve also been having a go at Jet Blue on BFX at around 16-17. Another with obvious credentials including course form and form that was boosted to an extent in the River Don. A confirmed target too.
Yep. Confirms Kopek Supreme and FD Turners for sure. Also tells you how good those two are when he says you only get one as good as them every 8 years or so years and now he's got two come along at the same time. They must be exceptional.
Mundi needs to up his game to beat Kopek and clearly they'd have liked to have given him more runs. He has a squeak maybe.
Mentions again step up in trip for Gaelic and him needing dig in the ground. Too fast for him today. Screams Ryanair unless a very wet festival. He'll be a big danger in Ryanair should he fire again in March.

Agree EE. Surely they'll not want to take on both FD and TNL ?? Albert really is there for the taking.
Working yesterday so playing catch up now. Im sat on KDB at good prices for the Supreme and Turners so dont mind which race. BUT.......
if Salvator Mundi really is seen as a good thing by Willie for the Supreme you would think that would push KDB to the Turners so picking up both races?
Watching that interview he sort of says mundi hasnt had his moment in the sun like KDB had yest. On reflection KDB looks suited to the supreme and it appears FD isnt going the bartlett based off of that interview. If you have SM at good prices for the supreme I suppose your only hope is that Willie has ran his top novices against each other in the turners in recent years rather than loading up in the supreme. So there may be a world in which FD and KDB face off still.

Fair chance of picking up both races with those two going Supreme and Final Demand and Kawaboomga going Turners.
Reckon that’s the likeliest outcome.
