I don't have many live multiples this year but the ones I have that could be interesting are as follows:

    Group #1
    Supreme: Kaid / Mundi
    Turners: KDB
    AB: Final Demand

    Group #2
    Supreme: Kaid / Mundi
    Turners: KDB
    Triumph: Hello Neighbour
KDB did the job but I’m not at all confident those are the right races now.

      They’re definitely not today.

But they’re not run today. Things change.

They may be back to being bang on by the time Tuesday March 11th rolls around

The good news is that I can’t cash out so they’ll have to ride regardless.

        • Does WM really give a toss about the AB?
          Genuine question!!

I’ve always wondered that to be honest

He likes festival winners so he likes it to a certain degree as it’s one of 28 at the pinnacle.

Doesn't seem to buy many horses with that race in mind that’s for sure.

            • In my opinion Mundi is being written off prematurely here. Had SM ran today instead of KDB we may well have seen a similar performance. Willie has the 3 best novices around in these 3 horses and there is no chance he will run any of them against each other in march imo

Yep, just look at who came second today.

If Kopek goes supreme sounds like they'll have completely deserted Mundi. Do we think that'll happen, I'm not so sure.

                • Talking about the Bartlett. Argento Boy runs tomorrow. Was very well supported at Xmas before jumping perhaps the worst of any of Willie’s Christmas runners (and that would have been a competitive heat). Chance to put himself back in the picture tomorrow, esp if Final Demand is Turners bound.

Normally I’d expect them all to be split but KDB looks like he needs the frantic pace of the Supreme and if they can look after Final Demand by skipping the AB then they will.

When Willie has upped horses to win the Turners after winning at 2m, they’ve been horses that settle and can easily make the switch. KDB at present, seems like it might be a risk.

                    • It was only last week both Ruby and Danny rated their novices in order of ability and both had SM top of the tree.

Yes, it would be a hard sell getting the owners of KDB and FD to run in the Turners and AB to basically accommodate Salvator. Imagine if KDB pulled his race away over the extra distance..

The more I think about it the more I’m resigned to KDB running in the Supreme. However, who knows, SM might beat him!

I’d rather ask them on the evening of March 14th

                              • Can anyone translate this Townend quote for me please?

"I never had to dip him at all. I thought we were hacking, but he was running away with me in the back straight. There aren't many who can do that."

Does it mean even though Kopek was cruising, he was going faster than PT wanted and PT couldn't slow him any more?

Secondary question... If a horse is hacking, rather than pulling, does that use less energy?
